Good situation overlooking the sea. Staff friendly and helpful. Food good though breakfast coffee too weak. Only problem is lack of lifts. I have arthritis and walk with a stick and getting up several flights of stairs with a heavy case was not easy.

A trip to a local music event required an overnight stay at tbis venue, very friendly and accomodating staff, Accommodation clean and comfortable, Easy access to town centre to golf course if thats your thing,

I have stayed here before, and will stay again.
My single room was comfortable, and the evening meal was good. However, the different restaurant and bar meal breakfast menus and opening hours was confusing (with some contradictory printed information supplied), and this was not helped by the rather condescending and patronising attitude of the lady receptionist who checked me in. The bathroom toilet brush and holder was filthy on arrival, with one corner of the room clearly not having been vacuumed, which I mentioned when I checked out.

The location was excellent for what we were after but were disappointed with the attitude of the receptionist when we arrived,we asked if our room was ready as we were early and the blunt reply was NO check in is 3pm and she never even asked our name to check? The room needed updating but had a great view of the sea and beach bath the shower was terrible. The breakfast was first class and the lady that served us was the person at reception the previous day and was really nice so we don’t really understand the bluntness the previous day.

A little disappointed
The hotel is clean but a little dated. We had to ask for clean towels and we were given ones with holes in. Our double room was just two single beds pushed together and a sheet put on. There are lots of signs around the hotel about noise and respecting the golfers but we were woken every morning at 7am by the golfers swearing and loudly talking underneath our window

It was an ovwrnight stay for us as a family. Everything was so clean, meals home cooked and very tastey. We are not golfers but it looked good as always plenty if people playing. Stone throw away from a massive beach which was alao very clean. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful stay in a lovely comfortable hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay at the North Shore hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, we were upgraded to a wonderful room that was very clean and comfortable, the breakfeast and food in the bar was excellent and all the facilities were good. Thank you North Shore for a lovely stay, we are hoping to come again one day soon.

Comfortable retreat for a weekend
Staff were excellent - food was delicious - room was comfortable (golfers a bit noisy, well a lot noisy at 7am) - proximity to beach excellent and only a 20 minute walk into town centre - could do with a lick of paint

A worn and tired hotel. Basic and out of date room. Terrible bed and very poor shower. Breakfast very basic and not tasty. Staff were polite and helpful,. Hotel located in peaceful and pleasant grounds.
