April 6, 2025\. Watch for the updated pictures!!!!!!! This condo studio is perfect for a couple retreat, girls getaway, or small family vacation. It is only one of two condos at the Sea Gypsy that has two large windows. When you walk in you see the sand and ocean before you, you are so close it makes you feel like you are on the beach. This 8 foot window will open on both ends so you can hear the ocean all day and if you want, at night while your sleeping. Let the ocean sing your sole to sleep. Here is the BONUS!!! This condo has a second window, The second window is on the corner right by the 8 foot window but looks south. You will be able to look miles down the beach to the south also, and the D River is right outside this window flowing to the ocean. You will have a special view with this 90degree view. You can watch the ocean storms, and the river swirling. This condo has an open floor plan and you can see the ocean right from the kitchen. There is a twin sofa sleeper in the corner for sitting or to watch TV, or to pull out and use as a twin sleeper. There is also a very comfortable queen bed, with soft sheets, warm blanket and comforter. There is a table with two bucket chairs. From the table while having your morning coffee, breakfast, reading a book, or playing games you can see out the 8 foot front window to the ocean or out the side window to see the D river and the ocean and sand to the south. This is a second floor condo. There is a fully stocked kitchen with a full size refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, pots, pans, and utensils. A kitchen island for food prep and eating. At the end of the day you can soak in a bath full of warm water or relaxing shower, then wrap your self in a thick fluffy towel. Sit in front of the electric fire place, (the heat has been disconnected from the fireplace for safety reasons). But you still have a flame and that's what makes the ambience. There is a 32" flat screen TV with a DVD player. You can select what you want to watch, by either playing one of your favorite movies you bring or watching one from the cable channels provided. This second floor condo is perfect for whale watching, storm watching, or just people watching. It is a breath taking view when evening comes and you can see the beautiful sunsets, and bonfires on the beach. There are lights on the roof the the Sea Gypsy that light the beach at night so your day does not have to end with the dark. There is no elevator, it is a walk up with about 14 wide easy to climb stairs with a landing after 7 steps. There is also an indoor heated salt water pool on the grounds with a dry sauna in the same building as the pool. Feel free to us the outdoor grills on the patio by the pool house. There is a 28 night minimum nights stay at one time. We had our 12yr old boy with us and he slept on the single hide-a-chair. Other family stayed in two separate rooms and all were very happy with the outcome. Gorgeous view, steps from the sandy beach where you can literally walk for miles.We walked, played football, ran, had a bonfire and went into town. Even had a short nap listening to the waves. Host responded to each 'touristy' question I had and were very accommodating. Kitchen was well equipped for anything you want to make but you can't beat Kyllo's right next door for amazing food. ##### Kathern J. I turned 75 during our stay. The bed was comfortable and we slept late. That said, the condo is a bit tired…I’m sure it gets abundant use. Some of the furniture needs maintenance (we left a note to that effect). The audio system is old and the organization of the TV channels were hard to figure out—we are not techies! There was mention about a book was that gave instruction about the use of systems in the condo but was not to be found. Séjour de 2 nuits en juillet 2025 ### 4/10 – Médiocre #### Laurie C. 22 juill. 2025 Points faibles : Propreté The room was listed as a one bedroom, but was, in fact, a studio. I understand that new carpet and flooring have been installed, but the place was dirty. Stains that appeared to be old blood stains on the bedspread and a bed pillow were gross. The baseboards were filthy. The freezer needed to be defrosted and was barely usable. One of the windows was without a screen, and they all need to be replaced. The fan looked like it had black fur on the edges. The closet door was off its tracks. Cobwebs were present from the "mantle" to the wall. My sister came for one night since it "sleeps 3," but the pullout had no sheet available, and the mattress had to be pulled onto the floor to be usable. Luckily, there was a blanket she could roll up in. I felt like I was constantly needing to message the property manager so we wouldn't get charged for damages that were there before. She was very prompt in her responses. We were amazed at all of the "great stay" messages in the guest book. Maybe they didn’t want to get charged either and left it to the next guy? With no onsite manager, people felt free to smoke about the property, which came in the one open window.The good: From a standing position, you could see the beach. The views truly were spectacular! Proximity to the beach and a nice restaurant were appreciated. The direct access down the stairs on the beach side of the patio was great. Nice to see Sea Gypsy embossed into the retaining wall for identification. Plenty of parking! ##### Laurie C. It's a small unit in a much larger complex, called the Sea Gypsy. We appreciated the beautiful views from the large windows. The flooring needed to be replaced but we were warned of that before our stay and chose to go anyways. We had a good trip but wouldn't stay here again due to it being overpriced for what we got. ##### Jaime J. We had a perfect beach weekend at this adorable oceanfront condo! The place was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The view of the ocean from the window was absolutely stunning—sunrises with coffee were a dream. The location is close to great restaurants and shops. Working with the owner was a breeze—communication was quick and easy, and they made sure everything was ready for our stay. We can’t wait to come back! ##### Dianne Z. Ceiling fan was was so filthy, it was black on the edges of the blades. Garbage disposal was full of food, wouldn't work and sink didn't drain. My husband managed to reset the disposal so it would work. However, it took about 15 minutes to get hot water in the faucet. We couldn't use the freezer in the frig because it was so thick with ice buildup. The wooden slats on the floor would pop up when we walked on them and the nails would catch on our socks. One of the windows was missing a screen, and since we were on the 2nd floor, it would have been easy to accidently fall out onto the sidewalk below. the bathroom was the only nice thing about this condo. The water pressure in the shower was good. We left a day early. Just couldn't stay the whole time. I'm not a complainer, but this condo was just too bad. Also, the bed linens were cheap and didn't fit the bed properly. All of the pillows were difference the the pillowcases wouldn't stay on them. Since we arrived late on Saturday, DEc. 28, we stayed. Not sure how I feel about vrbo quality now. ##### Chris S. Of the local attractions our favorites were Boiler Bay (near the Whale Watching Center in Depoe Bay) and the Siletz Bay 1-mile nature trail (go 5.8 miles south from the Sea Gypsy, then take poorly marked left turn opposite the Key Place turnoff). ##### Neal K.
