Check In literally had me in tears. First, I couldn't find the unit because it's past a fire door and there is no signage indicating that there are also units past the fire door. So I ended up dragging my luggage and dog up and down multiple flights of stairs looking for the unit.The doorcode didn’t work. I had to call Vacasa 3 times to get a keypad code that did work.The Vacasa customer service was very good though. The agents were patient and helpful.Noise from drunk neighbors was loud until late. When I booked, I had a certain expectation of what I'd see when we got here. I was pretty accurate. This room looks like it was part of 2B at one point and got divided off into it's own studio. It was in an awkward place to get to. You can't get to it from the building labeled "Seahorse." You have to go through the door between Whale and Starfish, thought the courtyard, down a small flight of stairs, around to the larger flight and back up one level. Then you can get to the room. The porch has the outlet for the gas fireplace for both this room and 2B. And if you sit right in front of them (theoat logical places to sit for the flow of movement on the porch), you will be smelling gas the whole time. There is a huge patch job above the door that still hasn't been taken care of (previous renter mentioned it back in Sept 2024 too). There is only a microwave, mini fridge, no real table to sit at, only one chair inside, and the bathroom is super tiny.However, all that said that is exactly what I expected to find, for the price. The view is absolutely stunning. The room was very clean and perfect for just my husband and me to share, kid free for the weekend.If you don't mind a hike up the hill, the access to the beach isn't too far. At low tide, there are tide pools straight out from the stairs/ramp down to the beach. There are a LOT of spiral sea snails , hermit crabs, and smooth oblong sea snails. ##### Kori W. This place is in bad disrepair, not like the pictures at all. The room was decent but the floors were covered in sand, the fridge had leftovers in it, there wasn’t enough towels or blankets, the TV remote buttons only worked sometimes. They don’t do a maid service apparently. There was no onsite manager to be found. The neighbors were shouting and banging around. Someone or someones tried to enter our room three different times until 1:30am and no one to address it. Which leads me to my next suggestion, peepholes in the doors! In this day and age it is a necessity. We were up most of the night anticipating a break in, my boyfriend was sitting in front of the door with a loaded gun while I was ready to call 911\. I tried reaching out to Vacasa for the contact info of someone in the area with no avail. The beach access was closed and this was not disclosed either. And guests with pets let them roam unleashed. After encountering two very large dogs roaming the walkway and parking lot, we decided to call it and left the property. Lesson learned. The building itself is in need of repair. Upon entering room we noticed the floor was dirty. This room was so dirty we had to make a trip to the store for cleaning supplies. There was long hair and other things all over the bathroom. Long story short, this room was cleaner when we left than how we found it. With all the discolored wall patches, it was quite a site. Then there was the bed.. which squeaks upon any movement. The foot of the bed is higher than the head, not to mention sagging in the middle. Not our best experience with VRBO stay. I hope Vacasa will make some improvements as you’re definitely paying for the view only!!! Twice we had people try to open our door. Séjour de 3 nuits en mai 2024 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### Lori W., PENDLETON 27 mai 2024 Points faibles : Propreté #### Misrepresented property I book this property as the online photos showed it tp be nice and clean. When I arrived the lock entrance was not working properly, i had to input the code several times to get in. Once in, the room appeared not clean and very run down. I immediately called VRBO/VACASA who told methey contacted the on site manager. The bed was disgusting as well as the pillows, they smelled very bad. I slept ontop of two towels i brought on the foot of the bed for two nights, tried to sleep, as I was told they would fix it. The bathroom floors and floors in general were filth. The gas fireplace and/or heater were faulty and the rooms got extremely hot. It got so bad I had to turn the gas off. This rental needs to be to be pulled from the websites until proper maintenence and cleaning can be done. I reached out to VRBO\_VACASA for 2 days, received no help. The cleaners were supposed to come by the second day to fix things clean and at least bring new pillows. They left a bag of supposedly clean bedding in a garbage bag in front of the door. I swept up a pile of human hair and dirt off the floors. I left a day early as this place was so dirty and i did not get assistance. ##### Lori W. He had to fix the door which was bent. TV Remote didn't work. No soap for the shower. No dustpan for picking up sand. Good towels and warm with fireplace. Small but looking out on the ocean from upper perspective. Beach access but not easy to walk. Can drive 1/4 mile to an access point. South end of Lincoln City by Spanish Head area. Adapted and enjoyed our stay. Might use this again because of price, but probably not. ##### David G. Our room had a water leak in the ceiling, trim torn off the walls, tv didn't work and the door was very difficult to open. Pros: The view was amazing from the balcony. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was nice. They also allowed dogs. ##### Brance P. For anyone who is concerned about reviews mentioning the building being beat up or run down, yeah, it shows its age, but dont let that distract you. The room is clean. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The views are great. In the past, i have stayed at places where everything feels wet inside. But not here. It was super comfortable. The beach is close but its a bit of a hike and it is steep. That being said, 90% of the properties on the Oregon coast are like that. Unless you wanna spend 5 times if not more for w beachfront property, just be ready for a hike. The heating and fireplace were great. There isnt any AC though, so if you come during a particularly hot time it might get a bit warm. The location is great. Not quite in Lincoln City and the craziness of being in or near a major attraction or s shopping center, this was an ideal location. Its quiet. Its not busy. All in all, this was an awesome place to stay and I would highly recommend. ##### Mark W.
