Our cottage is located 2 miles from High Rock Lake and 11 miles from uptown Lexington. Uptown Lexington is thriving and has bars, breweries, restaurants, antique shops, coffee shops, boutiques, etc. You can easily spend an entire day exploring our quaint town! Larger cities such as Winston-Salem, Charlotte and Greensboro are all an easy drive (varying distances) and offer all of the big city amenities. (I loved how organized she was!) :) The check in and check out steps were both clear and simple. The place is as pictured. The inside was nicely updated, very clean and comfortable. The king size bedroom is at the front of the house, where you can hear the road traffic (they provided ear plugs, which was a nice touch, but heads up if you are a light sleeper). The queen size bedroom was comfortable (very little road noise could be heard). Both bedrooms had doors to go out to the patio, which was a nice touch. The kitchen is very open and had all the amenities you might need. The bathroom, although small, was very clean, updated and nice. The location is in a small town, quiet area. The yard is huge, although the driveway is kind of short/small, just as a heads up when you are pulling in. The hot tub and fire pit area both looked very nice, but we did not use either during our stay.Overall, this place is a YES! Comfortable, clean & super kind host! Yes yes yes! :) ##### Brittany C. Hartman Cottage was the perfect place for my friend and I to spend a few days catching up and working remotely. It was close to what we needed and had every amenity we could think of! Beautifully updated, modern luxury, and a fantastic host. Check out was the easiest I've ever had with VRBO and I would absolutely book with this host again and again! ##### Laura R. Chip & Joanna Gaines could not have delivered a better renovation of this cozy Cottage!!!!The Cottage was easy to find, the Bed was super comfy, the double rain head showers were a nice bonus, the Hot Tub was evening perfection, and we ate all our meals alfresco!!!! Our pups had the best time racing & chasing in the back yard (NOTE: Book in July for your own Blackberry picking! the back edge of the Yard was all blackberry bushes). We were so close to many Great BBQ Restaurants and only 20 mins away from Lexington proper (Sophie's Cork and Ale is a must). It was a wonderful Weekend away from Raleigh, and we will be back!!!! ##### Alison G. Beautiful home, comfortable, far away from the city noise and light pollution but close enough to everything you need.
