It suited our family well, with husband, wife and three children, 12, 10 and 6 yo. But if I had a baby or toddler it might have been a bit difficult because of the stairs/accessibility. Only disappointment was the back porch/ yard area .. stone steps in back are a little wobbly and no close outdoor conversation area. There is a fire pit, but no outdoor grill.
