Lewes offers a charming downtown with excellent restaurants, shops, boutiques, galleries, parks, & museums. Lewes Beach is a hidden gem with soft sand, beautiful views and tons of wildlife. Better yet, it\`s all within walking distance of our condo. Your homebase is near the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal. The canal begins at the Roosevelt Inlet where it connects with the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The canal offers excellent fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and boating. The canal is also home to dockside restaurants with outdoor seating (great for sunsets), marinas, and sport fishing shops. The Lewes Canal Front Park offers tennis/basketball courts, a playground, and a boat ramp to launch kayaks. Yoga in the park is offered on Sundays and free weekly concerts, outdoor movies and events are offered throughout the summer at the park. There are also events in the fall and winter months. Lewes Beach is less than a half-mile walk or bicycle ride. This beautiful stretch of beach offers views of lighthouses and the Cape May-Lewes ferry boats that come and go throughout the day. The ferry terminal features a dockside bar and grill. There\`s also a children\`s play area by the ferry terminal. Cape Henlopen Seashore State Park is just two miles from the condo. You can bike or drive into the park and enjoy the gorgeous sand dunes, pristine Atlantic Ocean beaches, surfing, a fishing pier, lighthouses, WWII lookout towers, trails and The Seaside Nature Center. We also highly recommend visiting the state park for gorgeous sunrise and sunset viewing from \`The Point\` (north end of park). Herring Point (south end of the park) is a great beach during the day and beautiful at sunset as well. We see dolphins swimming there frequently. Bike trails are plentiful and easy to access around town. You can walk or bike just about anywhere in Lewes. The beaches, parks, restaurants, ice cream parlors, coffee shops and shopping are all at your fingertips. Two complimentary cruiser bicycles are provided during your stay to make this even easier. Our favorite feature of the condo is the ability to walk out the front door and immediately begin exploring our charming beach town by foot or bicycle. Our condo has free resident parking, which is hard to find in Lewes. If you choose to venture a further distance to Milton, Rehoboth Beach, Dewey, Bethany or Fenwick Island, you\`ll always have an open parking space waiting for you when you return from exploring. A public EV charging station is located directly across the street from our condo next to the Pig & Publican restaurant. Uber and Lyft services are also available in the area. • We\`re just across the bridge (100 yards) from the Dogfish Inn. East of the canal. • Need additional bicycles or bicycle supplies? Visit Lewes Cycle Sports directly across the street. • Need kayaks, paddle boards, or other beach rentals? Visit Quest Adventures directly across the street. This condo is best suited for a couple or a family with young kids. The accuracy of the listing and photos were spot on! The owner, Mike, created the best guide book which we were able to download prior to our stay and use the printed copy in the condo during our stay. The location was fabulous! We could walk to local beaches, many restaurants and shops, and other attractions. It was a short drive to Rehoboth Beach and Cape Henlopen State Park which is a gem. The condo is tastefully decorated and bright. The guide on operating the TV was so useful, as well as the photos and description on how to work the AC/heating unit, gate, coded door lock, etc. Mike thought of everything! There was plenty of room for the two of us. A family of four would find the condo very comfortable. Everything was in working order and the Wi-fi was great. There was plenty of parking. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Lewes or Rehoboth area this is the place for you! The property is well maintained and have everything you need. We stayed mid April and the Spring weather was perfect. Our main intention was fishing (salt water and fresh)- unfortunately it was too early into the season and boats are not in operation until May 1\. You can do surf fishing on the beach but there hardly any bites. The town itself is very quaint- the condo is a perfect walking distance to restaurants and shops and there is something for everyone. The cruiser bikes were awesome- our teens rode the bikes all over town. We truly enjoyed our stay. ##### Romarie M.
