Lewellen is a small town and the locals will help you feel welcome as you check out the local shops, cafes or the seasonal outdoor swimming pool. This is a popular spot for watching wildlife, such as the annual Sandhill crane migration. You can explore Ash Hollow State Park and view the Oregon Trail, or you can wander down the banks of the North Platte River. This quiet town is located 12 miles from the campgrounds and beaches on the west end of Lake McConaughy and 26 miles from the dam and east end campgrounds. Ash Hollow State park is just 5 miles south of town. This home sleeps 6 and is fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Pets are welcome for an additional fee. It was 100 degrees while we were there and it was so nice to come back from the lake to an air conditioned house where the AC worked well at cooling the house. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms and family room were great to have as well. The queen beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with what we needed to cook a meal.
