I don't think I would ever stay there again. It's funny how things never look like the picture.

Average hotel.

Pros: Lots of parking
Cons: Heat on in room when guest arrives. Needs dusting
Location: Hospital near by
When we got to our hotel room the heat was turned off. We had to keep our coats on for a good hour and the floor in the bathroom was freezing.

conveniently close to main road arteries

Very old hotel. Room had crumbs on the floor and man hairs from shaving on the soap tray holder. The heater would not turn down I had to shut it off until the room got cold.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sandman for one night. The front desk manager was nice and our check in was very fast. the floors in our room were dirty and stained. The bedding had many stains from the colours blue to red and there were tones of markings on the walls. The shower didn't drain either. The Denny's roof was leaking very bad as well.

The rooms were dirty and completely out dated.

I will never stay here again not sure how this hotel had such a high rating. It was not clean and the staff were less than helpful.

Not likely to stay again

Although the the hotel is not responsible, our vehicle was vandalized while parked at the hotel overnight - It speaks to the quality of the neighbourhood or lack thereof. The room was noticeably worn and not cleaned thoroughly - for example, when we pulled back the curtains in the room the windows were smeared with multiple hand prints, forehead prints, lip prints, etc....hard to believe all of it was due to a single oversight by cleaning.

Bad service

Didn't get room cleaned,restaurant service was terrible and waitress very rude everyday we had bad service. Waited at front desk for twenty minutes one day and nobody showed up!

The staff were great and super helpful. The amenities aren't great but I was really happy with how quick they were to help with any issues. For example, there were a couple little things that needed repairing at the gym and they did it quite quickly. The gym could use some updating tho over all. Just a proper set of free weights would be great. Room was clean.

A comfortable place to stay

Pros: Comfortable beds!
Cons: The TV menu system and channel selection... it's annoying trying to figure out which shows are on when the channels don't match the listings.
Location: Right on Mayor Magrath Drive; just off Highway 3. Easy access.
The Sandman Hotel was where we stayed for a high school volleyball tournament. The rooms were clean and comfortable. No surprises; good or bad.

Our last minute booking turned out very well. Overall quite happy with friendly staff and hotel.
