The hotel was very accommodating when I came in early and kept my luggage while I had coffee and waiting for my ride.

Nice hotel on the road to the USA

Posted 23-Sep-2017
Pros: Easy
Cons: Outside of the lobby is part of a strip mall but who cares. Clean bed and room is what counts.
Location: Gas up at the Co-op cardlock
Have stayed here before and handy to the Co-op cardlock and the highway to USA. Good Denny's next door.

I'm a hotel snob, and I'll admit that straight off. I spend a lot of my time traveling, but can honestly say that just one night at the Sandman Lethbridge made me feel as though I couldn't faithfully allow another fellow human being to spend more than a fleeting moment in this particular hotel. It wasn't a matter of, "what weren't you satisfied with?" It was disgusting, disappointing, and disheartening. There were dead insects, an uncleaned toilet, wrinkled sheets, poor, poor, POOR decor, unsafe parking, and much more. It's listed as a pet friendly hotel, yet they have no main level rooms, and you have to walk a few hundred meters (once you finally get outside) to take your doggie to the grass. There are no automatic door operators for handicap use, but even if there were, they lock the front doors of the hotel at 11pm and you can only access through the rear parking lot....late, alone, unsafe, with the locals leering at you. Do everyone a favor and trade your "H" in for an "M" already. You are no more a hotel the the classic "Blue Bird" is a motel. Either accept what you are, or start spending some cash on this sorry hotel before you become the absolute worst in Lethbridge.

Pros: Clean and close to the Hospital.
Cons: Beds and pilllows
When checking in there was a problem with he customer before us waited over 1 hour to get our room. Our room was clean. Newer linens The beds are hard, pillow are to thick should provide a choice, are family of 4 all had sore necks the next morning. Could hear a lot of street noice with windows closed. Hotel is showing its age, chips in tub, Bad caulking around tub. Discolour toilet seat which looks like urine but, probably discoloured from bleaching. Air ducts had gobs of dust hanging out of it, needs a cleaning. Very close to the Hospital. Denny's is part of the Hotel. There were lots of teens were hanging Denny's at two in the morning.

The room was not clean. The bed was itchy. Lots of flies in the room both dead and alive. Shower hot/cold was revered.

The right price

Posted 23-Aug-2017
Pros: Clean, Great staff
Cons: Pool area is a little dated, not hot tub (but was informed of that well before check in)
Location: There is a large bridge, and the hotel is next to a pizza place and liquor store
Had an easy time checking in, all of the staff was super friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. Most importantly, the price was fine. The bartender makes an amazing crunchie bar shot
