Good location

Posted 24-Aug-2015
The hallway carpets are extremely dirty. They tried to cover the smell with air freshener. The lobby floors too were dirty.

Nice hotel close to #3 highway, easy to get to.

We arrived earlier than the 4 o'clock check in time but were able to check in right away. We had made reservations so this may have helped. Great location - close to any shopping for anything needed. Great restaurant on site as well. Had a nice stay!!

Filthy and old

Posted 9-Aug-2015
Rug, chair filthy and old. Full of stains. Bathroom floor tiles filthy. Air conditioning horribly loud. Room was damp and moldy smelling. Could not wait to check out. The rating for this hotel should be 1 not 4

Pool supervision

Posted 3-Aug-2015
I would recommend that kids be supervised by parents at the pool not just left to wreck all the pool toys so no one else can use them.

Expedia and the Sandman

Posted 14-Jul-2015
Pros: Hotel Staff. ...!!! They even gave me an upgraded room for all the trouble. Thanks Sandman front desk....!!!!
Cons: Air conditioner was a bit noisy, but then it was +34 outside so it was working overtime.
Location: Located close to where the street performers were doing their thing. Also close to the lake and exhibition park.
I have never used Expedia before. I booked a room at the Lethbridge Sandman for July 10th and it was trouble free. However When I got to the Sandman in Lethbridge after a 5 and a half hour drive, I was informed by the hotel staff that they didn't have a booking for me. When I showed them the itinerary I had from booking with Expedia which showed July 10th they started the grueling task of sorting out what went wrong. Apparently Expedia booked me in for June 10th,,,but later amended that with a written note that it was really supposed to be July tenth. Unfortunately this did not get communicated the the hotel before we got there. Common sense won out and the hotel found us a room. This was a very busy weekend in Lethbridge and I was amazed there was anything available.

Aged hotel, leaking roof

Posted 13-Jul-2015
This Sandman is showing its age and long overdue for a Reno. Leaking roof in the room, dated carpet and bathroom. Not up to the usual Sandman standards

Great!

My only small complaint was that the heater/AC unit was somewhat noisy as it kicked in and ran. Other than that, everything was great!

Never Stay there again.......!!!!

Posted 8-May-2015 on Hotels
We got there around 11:30pm after a long family trip just to sleep, and we found a dirty room: They did not make the beds, towels on the floor, washroom mirror splashed with water and not even soap or shampoo at all. I've been in lots of Sandman hotels but this is nothing compared to the word "Worst". We will never stay there again......!!!!

Comfortable Stay

Posted 4-May-2015
Overall, the stay was fine. Housekeeping was a bit lacking (garbage not emptied and bed not made well). But the room was good, good water pressure, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a Denny's and a bar/lounge, Bar One (great!). There is also a 7-11 in the plaza attached. I would definitely stay here again.
