What a find
Lovely hotel - staff extremely friendly and helpful. Location wonderful - food excellent!!! Will definitely return. Only had two nights - next time will stay longer.

the hotel is right next to the river, right next to the rail line, and right next to open green areas. Rooms are simple, but generally clean though dated with decent views of the river and or the courtyard. The restaurant is very good with a wide variety of dishes including a few vegetarian items. Getting across the track with a car is a bit tricky but we somehow managed. ... to be honest does not deserve 8s-9s ratings, we give it a 7.

Excellent for overnight stay or short break.
Attractive location SE of Rouen next to River Seine. Plenty of parking. Our rooms were accessed from outside and had a sitting out area. Good for us as he weather was excellent, not so good if wet. Rooms were a little on the small size but clean and with good en-suite. Dinner taken outside on veranda was excellent and reasonably priced. Only stayed one night while motorcycling from Belgium to Limoge. Would stay again.

Quiet and Delightful Spring Retreat
Excellent comfort, convenience and quiet in a beautiful setting. Dinner at restaurant was excellent and continental breakfast was great. Staff was helpful and welcoming.

Nice hotel with a good restaurant. Cheap rooms... are small. We asked for something bigger, paid a little extra, but the room was very nice and ideal for a romantic weekend. Very nice breakfast table

Quiet location by the river,good restaurant.
Fabulous setting by the river and the staff were very helpful,we felt it was a little expensive for just a room as the continental breakfast(which was also very good)was extra.Quite a basic room.We will be returning in a few weeks because of the location.Difficult to find, either under a bridge which is only 6ft high which I dare not risk with our Jeep or over the manually operated railway crossing which you cannot cross after about 10 at night and not before about 7 in the morning.

Great location next to the idyllic river Seine. Fantastic restaurant with great steaks cooked over a wood burning fire. The staff were very good and would bend over backwards to accommodate you. The room showers were fantastic with lots of hot water and pressure. Much better than any I have used in Europe or the U.S. The room had a good working air-conditioner, which other hotels claimed to have in their advertising, but didn't. A larger TV would be better and so would a different type of chair inside the restaurant. (not very supportive) Overall a very good place to stay for the money.

What a lovely hotel loved the outside eating area and views staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help, our room seemed a bit tired but the second room booked was nicer, found the location hard to find but on the whole an amazing experience

Great location.
Once you find it you will be presently surprise , it is a beautiful setting on the banks on the seine, room was OK, for our one night, all you need but slightly basic. We had an evening meal and so did half of France it was heaving with no spare tables, so book in advance, the food was excellent, but with so many customers the ordering could be a bit hit and miss, but just relax and go with it.

A little gem.
Great location, friendly welcome and device. Our room did not have a window, only French Doors so it was a little stuffy and night. Bathroom was very spacious,clean and nicely decorated. The restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Charming Hotel on River
I didn't know what to expect with this hotel, but LOVED it! The room was adorable, recently renovated, and very clean (with patio overlooking river). The staff was kind and accommodating. The grounds and location were wonderful! Our only regret was that we had dinner before we saw their restaurant - the meals looked first class and reasonably priced. It was a little hard to find, but worth the little extra effort. Very close to Giverny which also made it a memorable experience. Highly recommend!!

A very pleasant surprise. We were traveling and wanted to see Giverny. We booked online a few days before arrival and we’re very pleased with both the hotel, and the restaurant. The staff was very welcoming. A relaxing place, highly recommended.

A night by the Seine with a very full belly
Awesome - plan on speaking some french or making your best effort! The surroundings couldn't be more picturesque and the dinner was delicious.

Good base for exploring - unique location
The hotel is situated on the old towpath between the Seine and the main rail line and is accessed either by a narrow 1.80m tall tunnel under the line or by a manned rail crossing. The tunnel is for the confident only! The hotel has only 18 rooms, and we had room 10 which was small but clean with a small veranda. It was also the nearest to the rail line. Amazingly the trains were not disturbing, with no vibration and only a short noise, mainly well muffled when in the room. Unless you are a fisherman there is not a lot to do at the hotel except use the restaurant which was very good but with a limited menu, mostly cooked on a wood fired oven. Car parking was first come first served on the towpath

I so enjoyed Les Canisses!
This is a lovely country inn on the banks of the Seine. They have a fabulous restaurant. I had two excellent meals (dinner & breakfast) there. It is quiet & peaceful. The Monet house & gardens are a short drive away. It was extremely reasonably priced. I felt like I received much more than I paid for. I highly recommend it, and am so glad that I stayed there. A swan was napping in the water next to my car when I departed in the morning (see photo)

Tranquil Seine
Very relaxing. Needed a few more employees for service, but it was a French holiday weekend. Bullet train very close by, but i slept through them all. Wifi needs boosting, but I would return and highly recommend to anyone.
