"Our stay was brilliant . Looked after by Mirella . We had a comfortable room with the best breakfast ever tasted in any hotel . Beside all the cereals , home made Scottish porridge and bowls of fresh fruit . There was a menu listing everything . From smoked salmon to a full Scottish breakfast . This contained 2 eggs , 2 rashers bacon , sausage , tomato , mushrooms , black pudding , haggis , tatties , toast , and a bowl of beans . fruit juice , coffee . All made by Mirella's father . "Hotel in general need of a ‘spruce up’, noisy and the breakfast staff weren’t the most helpful. However check in/reception was excellent, the Arran products were lovely, bar staff great and the parking was the main feature. It’s in a gorgeous location and is overall a great hotel. Thanks for the stay :)"

"Great location for city. Really terrible cheap mattress, you could feel every spring digging in your back or side. I feel sorry for the students staying at this uni. Everything else was good, but if you want to sleep well, go elsewhere. "
