Great location. Perfect if you want a quick weekend away with the family to the beach. It is very well priced, with an excellent breakfast. The staff were pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely return.

It was lovely. we stayed in the Braid Lodge. It was clean, well decorated and warm. The only criticism would be the state of the TV remote control which was filthy.

A good option for Thorpeness

Good value, but rooms really need some attention. Clean though, and the superking bed was massive. Nice view over the putting green. Breakfast was excellent in a lovely room, and the service from the woman at breakfast was faultless.

Nice hotel. Staff very good. Wifi very bad or non existant. Food good but breakfast very slow. Would be better having a buffet style instead of individual service. Area around good for a walk.

Gem of a hotel in a gem of a place

My sister in law and I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all extremely friendly especially Keeley who went above and beyond to ensure that we were provided with all we needed as my sister in law was recovering from knee surgery. The hotel is very quiet and relaxing with lovely views and plenty of spaces to sit outside. The rooms were rather tired but very clean and comfortable. Although the standard rooms are stated as being on the ground floor, they are not accessible as the building is built into a hill so in theory you enter on the 1st floor and go downstairs to the ground floor The breakfast was nice with a good cook to order selection. Service was rather on the slow side possibly because golfers were often being served in the bar at the same time. Other thing to note Expedia state checkout is 11am when in fact it is 10am. All in all my sister in law and I had a lovely relaxing time here and would definitely return again. We highly recommend this lovely gem of a place.
