Easy to drive too friendly staff clean rooms the coffee out of the machine is undrinkable don’t even try it apart from that would stay again

No a good hotel
When I arrived, the woman at the reception asked me to wait 20 minutes until she finished her lunch. I sat at the bar until she and the other person finished their lunch. Then it took her only 2 minutes to give me my room and key. The room was small and in disrepair, the lamp in the bathroom didn't work, and the one over the desk was rusted and missing its cover with all the wires exposed. I stayed 2 days, they didn't change the towels and didn't take the rubbish away. The person who came to do the cleaning only drew the curtains and nothing else. I don't recommend it, but it is cheap.

Dear guests, thanks for your comments. After looking at your check-in data and the room card reports, you did indeed arrive an hour before check-in, I believe you were asked to take a seat while we waited for housekeeping to notify us of when your room was ready. once we were notified we checked you in, early, as our check-in is 2pm. We apologise that you arrived early and had the misfortune of seeing our team having a 20-minute break to eat their lunch while still working on reception. Unfortunately in hospitality finding time to use the bathroom or eat something is very difficult, which is why we have our check-in set at 2pm so they have a chance at least between serving lunch to our guests and having their own. We do hand each guest a welcome letter with their room information on it, which explains our housekeeping processes, and if you need anything during your stay to ask at reception. We understand different hotels have different procedures, which is why we state ours in the welcome letter. We are sorry you did not take the opportunity to read through yours.

Nice hotel with good size bar and restaurant area. Food looked nice. Quick check in and lady on reception was helpful with local recommendations. Heater in my room didn't work which only downside. Spoke to receptionist, who provided instructions for net fitted heater but still didn't work. Was late in the evening so just dived under my duvet anyway

This is a great cheap place to stay if you want a base in the Leicester area. It’s actually quite cheap but you do get what you pay for. Overall the rooms are a great size but the whole building feels very tired and you can see it needs a lot of repairs. In our room the main heating source didn’t work and instead we had a plug in heater. Unfortunately it took ages to heat up and due to the rooms being quite big we didn’t really feel the benefit until after a couple of hours. The beds are very hard and if you’re used to a soft mattress back home they are quite hard to sleep on. Have to say the shower was wonderful and again a great sized bathroom. The staff were absolutely wonderful during our 3 days. Couldn’t fault any of them. Very pleasant and the front desk is manned 24/7. In terms of food it’s basic but good value for money. We had breakfast both mornings and couldn’t fault portions/wait times etc plenty of choice. We also tried the restaurant one night and for £25 got a 3 course meal and a drink. Great choice and all of the food was tasty and served quickly. If you’re looking for luxury this isn’t that type of hotel but if you want to throw your items in a room and head out for the day I couldn’t recommend it enough due to the price.

We are in the process of installing new heaters and are now almost finished with only 5 left to install, so we will have new heating in each room before the end of 2023. We would love for you to come back in 2024 so we can catch up and so you can see the improvements, we are making throughout the hotel.

Absolute perfect venue
My stay was nice and quiet and pleasant. Staff was polite and helpful. It would have stayed again but was fully booked on the dates I needed. Wonderful decent sized bathroom with nice tiled floor. There was a bath and a shower. lovely room got everything you need and on site parking. Garden with lights. Hopefully they have availability next time I wanting to stay in Nottingham. Nice conference place for greeting and meeting business guests.

The hotel is disgusting.. filthy dirty, my room had hair all over carpet .. not been cleaned at all .. bathroom dirty .. thick black dust in skirting the tv screen filthy .. had stains on bed base .. the veranda was dangerous inwill be reporting to trading standards . This has to be the worst ever I left the hotel no way was I staying .. the hotel will not reply to me .. I have asked for a refund ..I will keep on until I get one . Garbage was strewn in the corridors and the dank smell of sewage

Check in was good, room dirty, shower curtain was disgusting, looked like it had never been cleaned. Food was awful, was with my partner and our meals came out separately, my partners starter came out first and then 15 mins later my starter came out, and my partners main course then came out, mine came out cold as if they had just left it on the side.

Great service
Will definitely stay here again because the staff are amazing. The hotel is a fairly basic standard but the service from the staff is as good and largely better than any other hotel I have ever stayed in.

Avoid ground floor rooms for noise
I had a room on the ground floor which is awful for noise and sleeping as the ceiling was so thin I could hear people walking around upstairs. They weren’t stamping but it was so loud and when it’s at 3am it’s really irritating. The room was clean and tidy although I was told there was no maid service during my 3 night stay so no bed making and no clean towels or cups etc unless requested and I wasn’t clear on why that was. Staffing issues? I ate once in the hotel which was sufficient but hardly an enjoyable meal. With the hotel being so near to the airport I wondered if it catered less for conference room users and more for people catching flights and thus having to come/go in the early hours accounting for the noise. One lady with glasses on reception desk area was lovely, cheery and friendly though and that made a difference!

The property was easy to locate and had everything that the we needed for our overnight stay. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Will definitely return if the occasion occurs.

My stay was acceptable with the room to a good standard. If you find you want an evening meal it is best booked either prior to going to the hotel ar when you get there as there is limited space and there maybe a function on.

The car park is not looked after . Also some of the paint work could do with with being updated. The receptionist was very good during booking in , but the rest of the staff was like Faulty Towers with one person not knowing what the other ones was doing. Organised chaos springs to mind.

A decent hotel with pleasant staff. we stayed in a double room for one night. The room was on the upper floor with both lift and staircase access. We had an evening meal at the hotel which was ok but we didn't bother with breakfast. The hotel has a decent sized carpark with plenty of room during our stay. We would definitely use this hotel again.

Decent, no-nonsense short-stay hotel.
Staff were all pleasant and the hotel was clean. Check-in is quite technological, which is fine when the tablet doesn't reset itself and you need to start again filling the form in. A big deal? Depends how many hours you've been driving to get there. I didn't eat at the hotel, though others were doing and the food looked properly done. The room had a bath, which is always a plus, though the over-shower wasn't great, did the job of dropping hot water onto the head. The bed was okay, a little on the firm side. My main gripe would be that the walls are thin and soundproofing is poor. If the people next door had watched tv until the small hours it would have been irritating. If they had been having words, it would have been free entertainment. Swings and roundabouts...

Thank you for your review and comments, and sorry you had some issues with your stay. we have taken a look at the TV and could not seem to find the issue as it worked as usual. The bed also seems to be ok too as we have had several people stay in there but we are working on the wifi to get a stronger signal for all our gests.
