The carpet in the room was disgusting! When you walked on it you stuck to it! Also the cable was not connected for the television so we were not able to watch TV. They said maintenance wasn’t in until the morning to try to fix it and we were departing at 8am so that wasn’t helping us. I expressed my concerns and I was told they would “make a note of it” and that “they were sold out”! I understand that I wasn’t able to be moved to another room but I should’ve been offered some compensation!

It’s clean hotel and the staff is very friendly and helpful! Just some small items that may need attention. The faucets drip, there was a couple of holes in our bathtub, the door to the room had a gap around it and you could see the light from the hallway. Over all the entire place was very clean and the staff was very kind and helpful!!

The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. Nice location and a short drive to Mount Dora for their antique shows.

We had booked a room with 2 queen beds through Expedia. When we checked in, we were given an extremely small room with one bed. Unfortunately they were fully booked and could not move us to a room with 2 beds. It was not a great experience.

I was supposed to have late check out. I confirmed with the staff 3x. And then the front desk came and pounded on my door and said I needed to get out. She was very rude. I will never be staying at this property ever again.

Unfortunately you would need to contact Expedia for a refund as that is beyond the control of the property since they didn't have access to your original method of payment. In addition, if the hotel wasn't informed that you Departed early and you stayed checked into the room in the system the reservation would not be considered checked out early. I'm sorry if this was your experience.

That property was very poor in presentation. The room was smelly. I asked the attendant to spray the room for me to be able to spend the night with my wife. It was a terrible experience for me. Never again!

Thanks for your feedback. As a friendly state, we often find this an issue and we aren't fans of it either. Most of these types of guests are smoking outside but the smell lingers and gets tracked through the building. We would love to hear your suggestions on how to navigate this as it seems to be a continuous thing.

The girl at checkin was just delightful and very personable, beds were comfortable and the room was clean, breakfast had many options. It was in a safe area and parking was right out front. This was our second stay at this location.

When 4 people are in a room why would you only give 3 towels? Housekeeping didn't actually clean the room or make the bed. They only emptied the trash cans and took away the dirty towels. The water pressure was so poor that it was impossible to get all the soap off. Breakfast was not very good unless you like cereal.

Thanks Diane for your feedback. All of our rooms have 3 towels and if additional towels are needed the desk is available at all times. Additionally, the Microtel Brand only offers a complimentary continental breakfast. Which, by definition, traditionally consists of cereal, baked goods, coffee, and juice. We attempt to go above the brand by offering a variety of items such as yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, and several other items. We apologize that this was not to your liking and would love to hear your suggestions. Thank you for staying with us.

The hallway and room smelled like smoke/pot even though it was a non-smoking room. Many employees congregating at the front desk just loitering - one was sitting on the counter behind the reception. Approaching the desk to ask a question, you feel like you're interrupting their social time. The whole place had a sketchy vibe. Lobby coffee was descent, but the free breakfast looked like an offering of stale breads and overripe bananas. I was there for a quick business tip and so I don't need much but a clean, good smelling-room, but did not get that.
