Our goal is always for our guests to enjoy a relaxing stay at a beautiful home. Lakefront property on Shaw Pond, close to ski resorts and other attractions in the Berkshires. Home is set back from the road, down a driveway and is private. Guests will have private access to the entire home, and property. Step into a timeless retreat at this classic 1925 lakefront cottage, recently renovated and thoughtfully decorated to blend vintage charm with modern comfort. Nestled on a private point of a cherished legacy property, this cozy haven offers breathtaking lake views from its enclosed porch. The first floor features an open-concept living and dining area, seamlessly connected to a full, well-stocked kitchen—perfect for gathering and making memories. A recently updated full bathroom and a laundry area with a full-sized washer and dryer add convenience. Upstairs, there are three newly carpeted bedrooms. Two queen bedrooms, each with an inviting electric fireplace, offer warmth and ambiance, while a charming daybed with a pull-out twin trundle adds extra sleeping space. The second floor has a small half bath and lower ceilings, adding to the cozy cottage character. Please note the ceilings on the second floor are low, approx. 7ft. Shaw Pond, reminiscent of On Golden Pond, is a picturesque yet active lake in a lightly populated community. While outside, expect light to moderate boat, jet ski, and occasional road noise, enhancing the lively yet peaceful atmosphere. Please note that the lakefront is not fenced and children should be monitored for safety. A boat ramp is close by and available to guests in the summer. The property boasts its own private dock during the summer season, and the pond is a popular ice skating and ice fishing destination in the winter. The outside is professionally landscaped with beautifully lit hardscape walking areas and a fire pit surrounded by new, super comfy Adirondack chairs. Also, enjoy kayaks and a paddle boat! The Lake house is located in the heart of ski resort heaven. 18 miles and 25 minutes from Butternut and Bousquet and only 9 minutes to Otis Ridge. Grocery, shopping, and restaurants are only 9 mins away. Having a car will greatly enhance your ability to explore the Berkshires effectively. LOCATION: Lakefront property on Shaw Pond, close to ski resorts and other attractions in the Berkshires. PARKING: The driveway can easily accommodate up to 4 vehicles. POND INFO: Shaw Pond is a picturesque 100-acre warm water pond located in Becket, Massachusetts, within Berkshire County. The pond has an average depth of 13 feet and reaches a maximum depth of 19 feet. Its shoreline is moderately developed, featuring both seasonal and year-round homes, primarily along the western shore, while the eastern side remains largely undeveloped and offers scenic, steep terrain.​ Motorized boats are allowed on Shaw Pond, there is a boat ramp 1/4 mile from the home. Please let management know if you are bringing a boat and plan to tie it to the dock - there will be an additional waiver to sign. PADDLE BOAT / KAYAKS: There is (1) two-person paddleboat and (2) one-person kayaks, with life vests - available for guest use. \*\*Your reservation includes a $20 insurance fee to cover any accidental damage during your stay, allowing you to relax and enjoy your vacation with peace of mind.
