The new Alpine Adventure Park is literally across the street. You can walk to Waterfront Park within 10 minutes or walk downtown in 15 minutes. You are close to all the shops and restaurants and wine tasting but far enough away to get the peace and serenity you want. The golf course is right down the road if you want to play a round. They provided everything we needed, other than our food, of course. They even provided coffee. The location is great! It is walking distance from downtown and during Oktoberfest there are shuttles that will drop you off close to the condo. We did have to sit on the porch in the rain with our luggage because we were a few minutes early and the door would not unlock until the exact check in time. Not sure why the survey asked about winery experience as this was not connected to any wineries. The property did contribute to our overall wonderful Leavenworth experience. The owners were incredibly responsive, even giving recommendations of kid-friendly places well before our arrival date so I had plenty of time to plan. It is about a 15-20 minute walk into the main part of town so can be difficult to walk with younger kids in tow. It is very close to the adventure park though. The kitchen was very well supplied. The owners were great to accommodate a change in dates that I needed to make. I also had a check-in snafu (read the entry directions carefully!) but it was resolved quickly. Two notes: the microwave didn't work (easy to remedy) and the a/c units in the bedrooms are next to your head when you sleep. If this is a problem, you might want to bring ear plugs.
