The cabin has a cozy feel, with old fashioned charm, but modern appliances. Extensively remodeled in 2017, it is clean and comfortable Just down the road is a snow park for cross country skiing or snow shoeing in winter and mountain biking in summer. 2 miles down an adjacent road is a snow park for snowmobiling. Midway grocery store is within walking distance; you can enjoy a hot latte in the winter or a hand dipped cone in the summer. Leavenworth is a 20 minute drive away. You can enjoy playing tourist for the day and then return to the cabin for peace and quiet. Stevens Pass is 30 minutes in the other direction. Please note: During the winter months (November - mid-March), 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicle is recommended. The cabin sits on a main road that is plowed by the county and we keep the driveway plowed as well, but we are not responsible for guests not being able to make it over the pass in snowy conditions, therefore, refunds for weather conditions will only be offered if both Stevens Pass and Snoqualmie Pass are closed and/or it is too dangerous to travel, as determined by the WSDOT. We are both 79 and had no problems accessing anything in the cabin. Used as a center for our travels. Some minor issues we noticed: Would be nice to have a firmer mattress, way too soft. Power outlets are old and don't hold a plug very well, need to be replaced. Shower head is quite high and blasts you in the face no matter where you stand in the shower. If fixed would really make it a nicer stay. Since my wife is Korean, we really enjoyed the access to the Korean channel on the TV. The listing description was completely accurate and the cabin was obviously old but had been neatly and tastefully renovated at some point. It was super clean, I mean REALLY clean. Didnt use the fire pit or washer and dryer as it was a quick trip and it was HOT, but the AC worked, the couch and bed were comfortable, the Midway Grocery was nearby and Leavenworth was a short trip down 2\. Updated but still keeps it's charm. Cozy, quiet, had all that we needed in the kitchen, a nice sitting area for evening tv watching, and a comfy bed. Great back porch for morning coffee ☕.
