Caroline was always quick to answer any questions or concerns we had although there were few. The bedtooms and bathrooms were clean and well set up. The pontoon boat was used for 3 days during our stay and was plenty big enough to accomodate our group of 7 adults and 2 children. Lake Hartwell is a large, beautiful lake and the inflatable, two-person chair on the premises was towed behind the boat every day we used it. The kids, and even adults had a blast with it. We spent 4 nights at the home, rented the pontoon that is available on the property and just enjoyed some much needed family time.. The home was well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay safe and comfortable. It seems a lot of the homes that are available on the lake have very steep walks down to the lake. This home offered a doable walk for our aging parents so they could be apart of all the activities. The T.V. on the screened porch was a welcome addition for movie night.. My family and grandboys did not want to leave. The house was more than sufficient for us. We loved the wide open space to have family together. It had everything supplied very well. Everyone enjoyed fishing off the dock. We did that a lot. Jumping off the dock into the lake was fun because it was hot Saturday. The boys enjoyed the kayaks, that was something new for them. The biggest fun we had was riding, fishing and water toys on the pontoon, which is a very nice pontoon. We had a bonfire in the fire pit and roasted marshmallows. We escaped Atlanta for a few days and the most relaxing and peaceful stay at the Boathouse. It’s a beautiful spot on the lake which we could enjoy from both inside the house and outside. We especially enjoyed boating, kayaking and fishing off the dock. Caroline is a wonderful host, super responsive and welcoming. There are many extra touches like extra towels, and coffee extras that add to the hospitality. ##### Karin M. The weekend was absolutely wonderful! The walkway to the water is paved and made it easy for my senior parents. They weren't able to get on the dock as there was no ramp but that was ok for them.. The house was adorable and was perfect for our stay. The only issue we had was one of our guests had to stay on the couch in the basement because the sunroom wasn't heated. If we had 4 couples, I'm not sure what we would've done. We traveled the end of February so the room was very cold. It was advertised as an extra bedroom, however, it is a sunroom. The grill plates were rusted through as well. The owner was very responsive when I reached out to her and she refunded a portion of our stay. She also tried to get another grill while we were there. We were very appreciative. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed. The only suggestion I would have would be to bring a cheese grater if you need one. .
