J'ai découvert une chambre au charme désuet (passons), à la moquette crasseuse et baignée par une forte odeur de renfermé et tabac froid. La climatisation était assourdissante et il a fallu l'éteindre pour fermer l'oeil. Mais le comble fut de découvrir après une mauvaise nuit que j'avais été piquée par des punaises de lit, avec une belle allergie en prime. A young George Washington was stationed there alongside an ailing John Forbes. In the 8 years that it existed as a garrison, it was never taken by enemy (French or Indian) force, though the Indians attempted to take the fort twice. The French never tried, and in fact, gave up nearby fort duquesne to Forbes' invading forces.
