Enjoy a relaxing time away on the outdoor lounge, or inside in the modern open plan kitchen/living space. Free undercover parking under the carport in the driveway. Just minutes from the city it's a great base for your trip to Launceston and the Tamar Region! NOTE: The top floor is not available for guests, but no-one lives there! You will be completely private. Space Climbing the stairs onto the front deck you will enjoy the beautiful views of the three major mountains surrounding Launceston to the East. Opening the front door one queen room is located to your right while the newly renovated bathroom and the second queen bedroom is located down the hall to the left. Each bedroom has beautiful fresh linen and extra blankets and heaters for the cooler months. Moving through the hallway into the open plan kitchen, living, dining area you will find comfortable leather couches, a smart TV, dining setting for 6 and a fully appointed kitchen. The large heat pump provides heating and cooling options for the home and wifi is unlimited. Stepping out the back door you will find the laundry room to the left offering both a washer and a dryer for guests to use and a lovely sunny seating area to enjoy the back yard and the occasional kookaburra. NOTE: There is 7 steps you have to walk up to enter the property. The top floor is not available for guests, but no-one lives there. You will have complete privacy. Guest Access Access is via a key lockbox, so you may check in at any time. Guests will have access to the whole property. The Neighborhood Newstead is located southeast of Launceston city, 7 minutes from the centre of the city. Characterised by a beautiful mix of well-manicured 20th century weatherboard homes, an array of solid red brick homes, along with the integration of spacious modern homes and designs The suburb has a great little shopping precinct including a coles, hairdresser, post office and boutiques. Make your way down to the ever so popular Abbott Street, located in East Launceston. This street is often bustling with locals in the mornings and on weekends visiting some of Launceston’s most renowned cafés, shops, and a beloved gourmet gourmet grocery store. Launceston City is just a stone's throw away. Here you will find many delicious cafés and restaurants, an array of shops and boutiques, a vast range of cocktail bars and pubs and many amenities and recreational spaces. The City Park is not to be missed, surrounded by beautiful oak tree gardens, you will find unique and fun experiences to enjoy such as train rides, a playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory, and cheeky snow monkeys. Whilst in the CBD, make sure to visit the Cataract Gorge. A spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations. Getting Around To get the most out of your stay, to be able to explore all that Launceston and its surrounds have to offer, a car is recommended. Additionally, there are many alternative options listed below: METRO BUS SERVICE: Metro bus service provides transportation throughout Launceston and its surrounding suburbs each day. To access timetables, routes, and prices, please visit the Metro Tasmania Website. FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. It is easy to spot – painted with the black and brown stripes of a Tasmanian Tiger! Whether you are taking a leisurely stroll around town or taking on our world-famous mountain bike trails, Roll Cycles have you covered.
