Bad Experience

Posted 23-May-2017
Pros: The casino floor is good. There's a surprise!
Cons: Bathroom cleanliness. Wi-Fi security. And cost the rooms in such a way as to not have to add a rip-off resort fee.
Location: There are so many other great hotels on the Strip. You might consider staying at one of them instead.
The small room safes in the hotel are old. The locksmith who had to come to our room to open ours when it jammed told us so. The safe failed to open twice on different days and we had to seek assistance which, the second time, took 2 hours to arrive. One night the water was off and there was none available to wash or flush the toilet. The bathroom floor was sticky to the touch and had clearly not been cleaned for some time. When I tried to connect to the Wi-Fi I received a message saying it was not secure and passwords could be stolen. Try as I might I could not get past that page to risk it. Then, to add insult to injury, we were charged a "Resort Fee", which we were told includes the Wi-Fi access, amounting to $35 Per Day. We paid that for no service at all in my opinion. I had occasion to make two very short calls back to the UK. I did not have my mobile with me so used the hotel phone in the room. Approximately 5 minutes cost me $78.47. We asked for a room with a Strip view and agreed to an extra $10 per night to cover that. What we got was a room with a view of the airport. When asked at check out how our stay had been I relayed all this information to the member of staff who simply said "Oh, sorry about that".

Nice quiet stay, however hotel a little outdated.

Casino floor is very smokey as people are allowed to smoke, everywhere looks very dated and feels old fashioned. Rooms could be aliitle more updated also the room windows are very dirty...But nice friendly staff and comfy environment! Would consider other hotels if returning to Las Vegas.

Stayed 10 nights at New York New York, and really enjoyed it. Did the mobile self check out, which was very easy. Hotel automatically comped our resort fees! Thank you!

Getaway

Posted 22-May-2017
Pros: The food was great in the Italian restaurant, America and of course Gallaghers. We loved our dinner there
Cons: I do think that customer service could be better in acknowledging if people are there for birthdays, anniversaries etc. it would take much
Location: Location was good and you could walk everywhere.
We decided to celebrate my husbands 75th birthday but I was disappointed that the hotel didn't even acknowledge it. The room had way too much furniture in it for a small room and one night I walked right into the ottoman and smashed my toes. The lighting was poor in bathroom and toilet paper was rough. Otherwise we loved the view if we could get the drapes open but there was a lamp in front of drapes then a chair and ottoman and it was quite difficult to open the curtains. The pillows were too soft but they did bring a better pillow for me so that was nice

VERY diappointed and staff did not care.

Pros: America restaurant
Cons: #1 Customer Service
Location: It was difficult to get to places close by because elevators were broken and tons of construction going on, escalators broken.
The room that I booked looked NOTHING like the picture on advertised. I upgraded my room and it was a downgrade. The staff smuckered and said yeah that is not an upgrade. They forgot to turn my key and credit account on until the next day. Our room was not ready by check in time, when we showed concern suddenly there was a room available. Room service left a table/food outside our room for 3 whole days. The venue for the shows had no service, all self serve and at $102 per person that is rediculous! I should at least get a waitress and not have to get up and then pay $16 a drink.
