We have been visiting Montelego Village and have stayed at the Hilton for more than a decade on a regular basis. It is sad to see the gradual decline of a once beautiful resort. Pool area in decline, only one lifeguard and half tge pool closed on a holiday weekend. Paint chipping of the pool. Hot tub closed. The resort, or its management, has lost the attention to detail one would expect from the Hilton Brand. Room was clean, but has become dated and worn. Staff, while generally friendly, seemed stress or nonchalant about anything. Resort is in need of immediate attention and possibly a better leader. Still love visiting Lake Las Vegas, but will have to make other arrangements in the future. Sad for Hilton...

Interior is old and outdated. It needs to be renovated. Staff was so-so, not customer friendly. Their website stated checkout was noon when in fact it was 11:00. We only found out when the maid services knocked on our door. We brought it up to the front desk upon checking out and got a forced not even lukewarm sorry.

The check-in system was down, and I was told for 2 hours I could not check in. When I eventually went to go check on it, I was told it was still down, but I watched the front deskman Oswaldo give multiple people keys and room upgrades because of the issue. When I eventually got to the front, my room was DOWNGRADED, because they gave my room away to someone else. The room I got only had hot water flowing into it, and this issue was not resolved by staff until an hour before I checked out. In addition, the toilet did not flush unless you took the lid off and flushed it manually. I made multiple reports of dead animals across the hotel grounds before I went to check in for the first time, and these animal corpses were not cleaned up over 16 hours later. The staff in general was rude and short, and they straight up lied in multiple cases to simply get me away from them so they could disappear. 1/5. Would not recommend this hotel because of the staff, despite the building itself being opulent and lovely.

Excellent property and great staff. My only complaint was the fact the spa and hot tub were not accessible because of renovations. I would definitely stay here again though. Great job!
