This hotel is just fine for the price compared to other hotels in the area . Overall attentions were good . The restaurant staff was fine the first days, Saturday and sunday the staff was considerably reduced and / or hotel occupancy increased and so I think the quality of service was decreased considerably. Drinks were just ok, it's not normal for a 5 star hotel doesn't provide at least a 12 years whiskey, however, the Caipirinha was excellent ! The theme restaurants were very good , just they don't allow more than one book for every 3 nights , unlike any other hotels we have gone. The Staff at the Bahia Principe Privilege Club weren't good at all, we lost time to claim an alleged gift , which was a rubber watch, (btw a week did not work), we do not recommend wasting time with this. The beach is beautiful , the view is awesome. You should go to Las Terrenas!
"Good location, not in middle of bars & restaurants"
Check in was quick and organized; our room was ready and very spacious.
I don't know when it was built, but the room was a little 'worn'. We were on the ground level right by the pool; music at night could be heard but was not overwhelming. Guests who swam late night respected others by not being too loud. The kitchen/dining/living area was off the front porch patio, with glass doors & also had a screen which was good to keep mosquitoes out. Bedroom was a good size with a tiny balcony and clothes line to hang wet clothes.
Kitchen was ok - but there was no dish soap in order to clean anything you may have dirtied.
Bathroom needed updating; the shower area just 'felt' dirty with water spots on the walls which weren't tiled.
Pool was very nice; Restaurant service was very nice. Decent breakfast buffet although not much for myself as a vegan. Loved the fact that the local cat and dog were not run away but allowed to chill and hang out at the restaurant; they were removed only if the guests requested it. It's a pet-friendly hotel! :)
Right across the street from the beach, this is a nice location - not far from the more center of town and bars and restaurants I thought it was a great spot to stay in Las Terrenas.
Was in DR for a wedding that was about a 10 min walk down the beach and the Sublime stood out as being perfect as you could get multiple room condo/apt style suites.
The grounds are beautiful, great beach, plenty of pool space. Great food for breakfast and lunch. Staff was all very friendly.
Breakfast was fine but sometimes at lunch the service was a little spotty (slow but of course who is in a rush?) with when/how the food would come out for a party of 3-4.
The morning of check out we woke up to no water in the resort which wasn't something pleasing when ready to spend the next 10-11 hours getting back to California.
5 of us arrived around 2pm. Check in was 3pm so we went in to town for lunch. It was not long after that my wife and son-in-law were confined to the room ill with Fever and stomach issues. One bathroom was a bit of an issue but there were 3 nice public toilets at the entrance. The scary part was the stairs to three upstairs beds. Like all 2 y/olds he wanted to hang thru the wide railings.
Stayed for only 1 night with my wife and son and will come back! Hotel staff was very friendly and attentive, and food at the restaurant is AWESOME!!
Had a problem with my room AC, and it was attended to immediately, they couldn't solve it and changed us from a Garden View to a Beach Front Suite.
