I have photos of what shape the hotel room was in. The fold out couch bed sheets were not changed and when we pulled it out the following came with it... a pop can scissors 3 candy bar wrappers and a light bulb. overall we did not think our room was clean at all! We will not be going back!

Beautiful hotel and room, great breakfast. We had adjoining rooms perfect for the family. Kitchen is a plus with small children.

Needs new management
Heres the deal. The hotel is nice, really has potential to be great. Our room wasnt very clean, we only had 2 towels for 6 guests. No sheets for the pull out sofa, and the floor was super sticky. The young man that was working was very nice and did help get us towels and cleaned the floor but the room should be stocked and ready for the guests losted on the reservation. The pool was cloidy and green so we didnt get to use that even though that was a big part of why we booked. And then bfast was supposed to go until 9:30am but thwy started tearing it down at 9am. A couple of guests walked down and seen the half bar and left. The beds were some of the worst. There were a couple points i did like, decor was nice, room set up was great, shower worked well and drained and they had 2 rolls of tp open. None extra tho. Ultimately ifthe management was better, this hotel could be great.

The pool was green, I would say the breakfast was not very impressive. The bed was dirty we couldn’t find the blind to pull down so therefore it was like sleeping in the parking lot. The lights were so bright through the window. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes that we had no clean dishes. I felt like the maid they had to continue to go down to the desk to get towels, etc.. Now for the good! The girls seem to work hard at the desk and we’re very nice, however, we left with 2 credit card bills showing 70 some dollars each when she said it would only be $72 as a whole due to all the trouble why I walked away from the desk leaving it that way I’ll never know it irritates me at this point. I’m hoping Julie will take care of the situation and make the necessary credit card changes. We shall see. The coffee was good I thank you for that.

Thank you for writing a review regarding your recent stay at our hotel. We appreciate when our guests take the time to let us know how we are doing. I sincerely apologize that your dishwasher was not working correctly. I have it noted that you did call down to the desk to inform us the night you checked in and I am glad that our desk agent was able to bring you clean dishes to your room until maintenance came in the next morning. That was the only issue I have on file as being reported. I will follow up with our maintenance team regarding the dishwasher to ensure that issue has since been addressed and resolved. I will also follow up with our staff regarding the other issues you mentioned in this review, thank you for bringing them to my attention. The morning you checked out you asked to split the bill evenly with another guest in your room so that is why there were two payments showing on the receipt. If you want to call the hotel to speak about your bill, I will be more than happy to go over it with you. Again, thank you for your review and I hope you will choose to stay with us the next time your travels bring you to Lansing.

Room was very rundown. Peeling wallpaper. Ironically, had same exact room as 4 months ago & tape used for decorations of some sort then by someone else was still on the wall!! Blind broke & fell down in Bedroom at 2am & I had to sleep with the parking lot light shining in my face. Family of 4 & only 2 bath towels in the room, so had to request more multiple times.

Favorite in the Area
We have a large family and we have repeatedly chosen to stay in a one bedroom suite here as it is the most comfortable with the most room in comparison to other hotels in the area from our experience. Also we love the location. We love the service there and the rooms. The cost is typically affordable too. Usually we enjoy breakfast at the hotel but this last time everything was cold and not much variety. Staff was also just in the kitchen not coming out to check or replensish anything so we were out of the staples like milk, cream cheese, hot water. That aside we will continue to stay here and hope these things get worked out.

I was in town for a performance at the Wharton Center in East Lansing The hotel was a short, relatively easy drive away. Very nice property. Clean. Easy access from the Highway. I would stay here again.

People doing burnouts in the parking lot, screaming in the parking lot- both happened around 10pm. Staff members passing out paychecks right next to the person attempting to check my family in.

We're sorry to hear that guests were being loud in the parking lot. Our quiet time begins at 10pm. While we do our best, we can't always control what's going on outside the building. We'll attempt to hand out checks more discreetly in the future.

Great location, very nice lobby and recreation area. Was able to secure an early check in, much appreciated since we just finished a marathon run. Upon arrival, strong smell from in room dishwasher. Dishwasher full of food and dirty dishes. Attempted to run the dishwasher would not work. We called the front desk, manager came to room attempted to run the dishwasher, she was very apologetic, however dishwasher still did not run. She promised to add point to our Hilton loyalty rewards card. She also offered to move us, group of 5 of us post marathon were already relaxing and didn’t not want to pack up and move. Hopefully we will be rewarded well for tolerating the smell of of a dirty dishwasher. We did notice food smeared on room blinds, very obvious. The ice machine did not work on our floor, manager did bring ice our room. I give the manager 5 stars the housekeeping 0.

Everything about the hotel stay was excellent! I do not normally give excellent ratings in all areas but this hotel and staff from the front desk worker to the janitor to the breakfast staff everything and everyone was excellent. They deserve a 10 plus score.

Tv Remote control didnt have a backing so they used blue painters tape to hold the batteries in. Super cheap and trash. Toilet ran non stop, riom smelled like cigarette smoke. Peep hole filthy.

There was a completely pilled, blood stained blanket to use for the sofa couch. The couch and ottoman were "chewed". The pillows were stained. On our second night a bunch of outlets did not work.

Great place and location in Lansing.
Great place to stay. Suite was clean. Staff was extremely helpful at night when I arrived. And, same staff member was accommodating when I had to check out early. Convenient location for the trip.

Receptionist was anything but friendly, definite lack of professionalism. Zero eye contact, no friendly greeting ( barely a greeting) . Didn't state what room we were in or even direct us to the elevator. Not a big deal because we can read, but I would think that the person that checks in customers would be friendly at minimum. Homewood is a nice hotel and could do a better job finding a better personality to greet customers. She didn't address the amenities only breakfast time. Check in was fast and easy. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was lacking and Under prepared for the number people staying the night. Ran out of several selections 90 minutes for breakfast ended. Would probably not stay with Homewood again.

I asked for an early check and arrived earlier than expected, and I was still able to check in. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The hotel always smelt clean and sanitized. This is definitely a hotel I plan on staying in the future
