Location is great for the price but felt our rooms were not so great. The rooms had a wet mouldy smell to it and we paid for a queen bed and received two singles pushed together with sperate sheets and covers which was not the so romantic we were hoping to get and rooms are fairly out dated. Apart from those points it is good value for money and the beach bar and swimming pool with swim up bar were a great highlight. There is a club pool which is the main selling picture of this resort but you have to pay to enter and with a great beach bar that serves reasonably priced cocktails and meals with tables on the beach to dig your feet in the sand as you have a bite to eat or a drink i found perfect. Theres a small tour desk in main foyer and they were very helpful and well priced for tours and activities. I reccomend if you don't want to venture out for breakfast to take advantage of the buffet breakfast in the resort that has a great variety of food and drinks. Lastly the staff i can not fault, they are great at thier job, efficient and so welcoming and friendly. After staying 8 nights here it was sad to leave them. Rummen är rymliga men mörka med heltäckningsmatta och slitna gamla badrum. Dåligt med el-uttag på rummen (bara ett) så ta med lång sladd till mobilen. The resort is so run down it is a joke. The room was one of the worst we have stayed in although it was spacious and had a small balcony. We ordered food at the beach bar and it took almost two hours to arrive... the pool they show in the photos you actually have to pay to use even though you have already paid to stay here. You have to turn on the water to use your shower. Our toilet leaked. Next to no plugs in the rooms. Die Zimmer sind laut, alt und abgewohnt. Wir können es definitiv nicht empfehlen diese zu buchen! Ansonsten nutzt man die Einrichtungen des „Holiday Villa“. Wenn es schon dieses Hotel sein muss, dann sollte man dort sein Zimmer buchen. Großer Poolbereich, aber ohne Sonnenschirme. Die Liegen und Schirme am Strand sind auch sehr abgenutzt und kein bisschen einladend. Wir sind daher im LaVilla Poolclub gewesen (extra Eintritt für 28 Ringgit p.P.) und das war der einzige Bereich im Hotel in dem wir uns wohlgefühlt haben. Frühstück haben wir nicht dazu gebucht und wäre das Geld auch nicht wert gewesen. We first got a room that was just fine. But after a night at this room we were told that we had to move to another room in another part of the hotel because the reception had done a mistake. This room was not good at all. It smelled mold, the sheets had yellow stains, and the door to the balcony was almost impossible to open. As a "compensation" we got tickets from the manager to a poolarea that was limited- should have been open for everbody anyway in my opinion. If they first do a mistake we should at least have a good new room. Not good at all! At Royal Chulan we were upgraded for free to a premium suite on arrival, just as a nice guest because they had it available I guess. But the beach and beacharea is just fine. I stayed in a 'Deluxe Garden Room'...plenty of garden, but certainly not deluxe. The images on the website are misrepresentative of the actual condition of the room which was dark and dingy, green mould on windows, bathroom with broken floor tiles, and dirt/mould in tile grout. Certainly NOT up to 4 star standard listed on Federal Villa's website. It is badly in need of refurbishment. A sign on the balcony doors advised not to open them in order to avoid allowing access to insects and larger unwelcome critters. Despite keeping all doors and windows closed, no amount of insect spray (that I purchased) could kill all the mosquitoes in the room, they just kept appearing. The pools, eateries, reception and other shared amenities are some distance, via garden paths, perhaps 2 to 3 minute walk, at the adjacent, sister resort Holiday Villa. After 3 nights I was able to upgrade to a room in the Holiday Villa for the remainder of my stay, albeit at an additional cost. This room was fine, modern, light, bright, spacious and insect free.
