First level has a living area with balcony that looks over Elmwood Street and Parkway Ave. Beautiful kitchen, dining room, bathroom with walk in shower and queen bedroom. Just off the main area of town, it was an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and the Root River State Trail. The house has been completely remodeled and is super clean, with high quality finishes and comfortable furniture. The kitchen is well equipped. Our teens enjoyed having their own bedroom / living room area upstairs. The backyard fire pit (with firewood included) was a nice touch and fun extra activity. We biked to Preston and back on the RRST (20 miles round trip) which was beautiful with all the fall color and a fairly easy ride. Check in and check out were very smooth. The lounging spaces inside and out are very comfortable. It is fun to see Lanesboro continue to thrive. Kayaking down the Root was a bit challenging at times with the water exposing so many boulders, but tons of fun. You absolutely do not need to bring anything along except groceries, the kitchen is fully stocked and then some. The only thing to note would be that the king bedroom does not have a door, and the bedroom with the twin beds is through the king room. Perfect for our family because my kids were able to stay in that room while my husband and I were right there. If it wasn't family that could be weird. We would absolutely stay again! ##### Ashley M. And, Well appointed kitchen. We grilled out a lot and enjoyed all the awesome outdoor spaces (Fire pit, Balconies, BBQ area, Birdwatching). The home/property has some many nice spaces to unplug. Bedrooms were comfortable and very private with their own spaces to spread out. Bathrooms were perfectly located in the house up and down for all us to share. The walk-in basement was perfect for bike storage and 100’ from the bike paths. Our entire group enjoyed our 7 night stay and rate it 5 stars. We were so impressed with the details and hosts.
