"This place is great for our family . We bring 5 cars and 3 kayaks, so large parking area is great for us. Water area is great for all 8 adults it enjoys with floaties , perfect!"

"Everything was as beautiful as the pictures! The hottub was wonderful! We enjoyed the privacy and the lake setting. Very easy to get to local restaurants, with my favorite being Brooks Tavern. The TV had a great picture. It was a quiet retreat for us. Communication with host was quick in response and helpful. "

"We stayed here for my wife's 74th birthday and she loved it so much that once we left in the morning of our last day we had to come back because she (I believe purposely haha) left her earrings on the bedside table. Anyway, the place was perfect for the two of us. We chose a place that was not too far to go to several hikes and while we did not expect to use the hot tub, it turned out that it was a great way after long days of hiking to relax in for 15 minutes. The place itself had everything we needed (although as long-time tent campers, we bring a lot of things so didn't use everything provided). From here we drove to Catawba Falls one day and on another drove to Grandfather Mountain and Linville Caverns.We also were only a few miles from the Blue Wall Preserve which was a nice short hike. The neighborhood is very quiet and nice to sit outside in the morning with the sounds of the birds in the trees. If we drove one way we were in Landrum and the other way Tryon so unique places to eat in both! All in all, this place was great for the two of us!"

"My family enjoyed spending Mother’s Day weekend at Firefly Retreat on Lake Lanier in South Carolina. We wondered around downtown Landrum one day and downtown Tryon the next. What cute little towns! We played on the lake with the paddleboard and kayak and had a little fire in the fire pit at the house. We think you’d enjoy this little getaway too. *Side note. Our trip was originally planned for October 2024 but Hurricane Helene hit just two weeks before our planned trip. The owners graciously agreed to let us reschedule to a later date and we are grateful. "

"The house was as described. The drive up to it once in the community was short and not overly steep, our Chevy Blazer EV had no issues get up to the house. The house is at the top and had everything we needed. We love the Landrum Tryon area and they are both short drives. We visited Parker-Binns Vineyard and would definitely recommend it as well as The Hare and Hound in Landrum. A few things to note: If you are in an EV the plug is kinda far from the parking area (standard 50 amp plug and one of the reason we picked the home), we had to get the Blazer just right and it barely reached so you may want to bring a short 50 amp extension cord, Internet speed was around 15 mbps down and 3 up, We like to sleep cold but the heat takes a very long time to get up temperature so don't let it get too cold, the lighting in the bathrooms is extremely dim and for us the bedroom mattress is ready to be upgraded. Overall a beautiful home with great views and we enjoyed the stay."
