Peaceful getaway
Landers Lakehouse is a very quiet and peaceful getaway. My only issue was the dog that was always around. We couldn’t eat outside as planned as the dog was always wanting food. Other then that very peaceful and relaxing.

Nice and quiet
Overall our stay was great. Just when i took a shower i almost fell the mat that was in the shower had something slimy on it. And the grill wasnt clean but the utensils inside of it was clean. So we had to clean it before using it. And the microwave went out when we plugged up the lights on the porch. So we went the whole night without it which was inconvenient because i dont eat until late night.

Nice with needed upgrades
The back patio was fantastic. The only exception is there is no safety railing. It's a decent size Hill to fall off from the patio. I do not recommend for older adults or younger children. The house itself was clean and nice. The bathroom desperately needs upgrades and a really good cleaning. Even a new shower curtain would help. The lake and the fire pit are quite a walk. We are older ladies that got together for a girls weekend and nobody could make it down to the beach or to the fire pit. We really didn't mind as we so enjoyed the back porch! The scenery is beautiful. A very well needed and relaxing weekend. The road there is very tricky. This is not the owner's fault but there's a washout gully that is very hard to navigate. Parking was ample. Kitchen was very well stocked. They had everything we needed and more. The grill could definitely use a really good cleaning. It appeared they had a fish cleaning station but that also needs a good cleaning. All in all we did enjoy our stay. Owners communicated very well. I guess my only complaint would be the safety issues with the back porch, and upgraded bathroom desperately needed, and too much of a hill to get to the lake or the fire pit for us "gray hairs" but we all still enjoyed the stay

Travelled with family
Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
We stayed from aug 2-5. Quiet loved the back porch, rocking chairs. My husband and girl fished from the dock and shore. Caught a couple of little fish and the tree a lot. the lakehouse was cozy. Does need some updates, especially the bathroom. Mold on the ceiling amd caulk of tub. Its a little hard getting in and out of tub, but we managed. Part of the shower head didn't seem to work, my husbamd couldn't figure it out either and he can work anything. The shower faucet also drips, which is a pet peeve of mine and drives me insane. Lots of duck tape patch work around the house also. Other than those small things which would be simple fixes, it was great. We did not use the boat or kayaks as this property is close to the dam and my husband refused to allow us in the water. The row boat was left seats up and was filled with water and sludge, so my husband didn't want to deal with that either. Make sure you drive super slow as the ruts in the gravel road are horrible. Awd and 4wd are best, as you have to back in and out of the driveway and it is on an incline. Angilos pizza of verona does not have good pizza. Try their subs or fish, thats what the locals were eating..wish we had known. we also ate at boonedocks which was pretty good and we hit dave and busters. Great location to the ark..which we found expensive and boring, we did love the virtual reality at the ark, not included in your ticket. however we enjoyed the creation museum and the planetarium also not included.

Great stay for Grand Camp
We stayed with 3 of our grandkids and had a great time. The cabin is small, rustic, and remote . . . And exactly what we were looking for. Communications were detailed and timely. Would stay again.
