We stayed here for my husbands birthday and were really looking forward to a weekend away however when we checked into our room and looked around the property we went back to our room and opened the door to find another couple in the room. We had been double booked and it was such a disappointing awkward experience. However following that were downgraded to a smaller room because it was ready and clean which was located near the pool room. When we entered there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom. Due to the rooms proximity to the pool room which had no restrictions, there were hotel guests playing music and pool all through the night that we could hear through the paper thin walls. When we finally called to complain after 1am we were met with a rude staff member who upon the second call acted like she didn’t know what we talking about and on the third call just responded with ‘okay’. My husband had to tell the hotel guests in the pool room to leave because we couldn’t get any sleep. When I went to pass on feedback at checkout I felt rushed and not heard so they could check the rest of the hotel guests out. I wouldn’t stay here again but it was a beautiful property.

Was a beautiful property locely roomas ans fantastic groups. Enjoy a drink in the bar lovely dinner and a wine tastinf. Wouls highly recommend for girls trip or couplea get away.

The place was absolutely amazing Sue was very hospitable and made us the best breakfast. The grounds were pretty. Rooms nice and clean and comfy beds. We will definitely be back.

There was so many bugs in our room that I had a lot of trouble sleeping, they were everywhere and crawling all over us. The restaurant bathroom were also covered in these bugs at breakfast time, all over the toilet paper, seats and floor. They were also inside the restaurant at breakfast time.

We booked 2 days before the New Year’s Eve weekend. Beautiful surroundings, friendly staff. Only downside was that there were not much to do on New Year’s Day at the winery for dinner or on the 2nd January. We’ll definitely revisit the winery. Great value for money.

Everything was comfortable and clean. Just at night when sleeping it can be noisy in the room. We had our heating off but it sounded like a wind tunnel or other heating? I wear ear buds so it’s not a problem but a light sleeper might not get much sleep. I would still come back

Superb in every way!
Cannot thank all the staff here, for making our weekend away perfect! The property itself is amazing, with beautifully maintained gardens & comfortable, clean rooms. But where it excels is in it's staff. From check-in, to throughout our stay, they went above and beyond! There was 6 of us staying here and all had exactly the same experience. We also ate several meals at the property & the food was very enjoyable, as were the wines. Totally enjoyed our stay & will visit again.

A bit disappointing
Website descriptions didn’t match reality. We were placed in a suite in a new area which had just been renovated... Unfortunately it was not actually finished - no bar fridge, no sofa, no side table, phone or space for coffee / drink facilities. Room was booked for 3 people and identified as having capacity for 4, however one king bed was provided. No bath as indicated on website and bathroom wasn’t completely finished. Reception offered to relocate to another area and room but still not with all advertised facilities so decided it was less hassle to stay in original room. A rollaway bed was brought in. Bed was comfy. Location and view from window was nice. Very hot rooms with tin roof and little ventilation. Had pretty much the whole new wing to ourselves which was good. Wine tasting was a little disappointing - $15 pp for 5 less than generous splashes and staff were less than engaging / not willing to have a proper conversation about the wine.

The property provided more than adequate accommodation but lacked important things like no food availability, no wine tasting, no ice for drinks etc. Most of the Macedon Ranges was closed which disappointed considering we were trying to put a bit into rural tourism.

Great weekend stay
We stayed there for a wedding which was on site, every thing was great, comfort convenience a lovely environment. Food was excellent, staff were wonderful & friendly, lovely & quiet, our room was large & comfortable.
