Lots of tall trees surround the property to give a sense of seclusion while still being close to town and the beach. It was perfect for 4 adults and two older children. We loved the bunkie and screened-in seating area complete with picnic table and outdoor couch. The hammock chairs in the back were perfect for relaxing and there were even some beach toys that we enjoyed at the beach. I wasn't sure what to expect of the neighborhood but the tree canopy is incredible! And the cottage is about a five-minute walk from the private beach. We brought a wagon which made getting gear back and forth very easy. Would recommend bringing extra bath towels as only one per person is provided, though the laundry machine is available if packing space is an issue for you. Definitely bring your own beach towels! The weather didn’t always cooperate during our stay so we spent quite a bit of time in the cottage playing board games, movies etc. and it was no issue at all because the cottage was very clean and comfortable with tons of amenities. Amenities included many games like various board games, cards, puzzles, Cornhole, etc., a really nice fire pit and back yard, all necessary linens, towels, dishes and any cooking utensils you would ever need, cleaning supplies, Nothing was overlooked. Emily is a great host, she even contacted us on our move in morning to let us know it was ready earlier than expected so we were able to get in early which was really nice.
