Walk to 3 bars/eateries \*\*\*20 mins to Mad River Mountain\*\*\* Spend the day skiing and snow tubing, having some drinks and food at the onsite restaurant, then come home to unwind in the hot tub or cozy up to the fireplace while you watch a movie on the projector. Looking to have someone drive so you can enjoy some drinks? A car service is available, seats up to seven, with round trips between $40 and $60\. Message me for details! Kick up your feet at Turkeyfoot Retreat! Newer hot tub, outdoor TV, firepit, flat top grill and a sizeable back yard with lawn games makes this the perfect Fall getaway. The place comes fully stocked with tableware to serve up to 7\. Enjoy listening to some music on the vinyl record player while you cook! Looking to take a break from cooking? Three bars/restaurants are just a 10-minute walk away on this golf cart-friendly peninsula. Are you a boater? Our dock is just 0.4 miles (an 8 min walk) away. Directions to the dock will be provided upon your request. There is plenty of room on the property to store your lake toys as well. Enjoy the benefits of being in the water without the hefty price tag that comes with staying directly on the water. Drive your boat (or rental) to the dock, launch once and keep docked when not in use. Keep your car parked there or drive back to the house and walk (or perhaps ride a golf cart) back and forth to the dock throughout your stay. The home sits on 2/3 of an acre with a one car garage so plenty of space for your lake toys, golf cart, etc. The inside is cozy with a ventless gas fireplace (operational from Oct-April) and an open concept kitchen/dining/living area. The projector and sound bar make for a unique viewing experience. The back covered and screened porch has a 6 person hot tub, TV and ceiling fan. \*\*\*\*Walk to Food, Drinks, and Fun!\*\*\*\* While there are many bars, restaurants, shopping and activities open year round in Indian Lake, below is a list of our favorite places that are right nearby, most within easy walking distance. FROGGY’S Bar and restaurant with excellent food options, a swim-up bar and live music! They have karaoke, game day events and more. Check out their FB page and website for up-to-date info and winter hours. Distance: 9 min walk (0.4 miles) TILTON HILTON Cash only (ATM inside) bar and grill with live music. There is also an “Ice Cream Caboose” next door (closed in the winter). Distance: Less than 5 min drive (1.5 miles) FION WINE ROOM Our absolutely favorite place to unwind — get tapas or a small plate paired with a wine flight, mulled wine, or try their chocolate martini! Relax by the cozy fire, sit outside overlooking the beautiful scenery, or practice your swing at the attached Classic Swing Golf Range (yes, golf range!). Open Thursday through Saturday. Distance: 10 min drive (7.6 miles) BROWN BEAN A quaint coffee shop that also serves freshly baked items and a hot breakfast. I've been at a lot of vrbo's this place was very organized with labels on cabinets so we didn't have to search for things when needed. The house was the perfect size for 2 individuals and 2 couples. Even with six adults, we could’ve fit another adult on a trundle and still would’ve felt comfortable. The backyard was massive, and the host had an assortment of yard games which was a lot of fun!The house was a short walk away to neat spots like Froggys & Tilton Hilton (we didn’t have a chance to check out Achesons Resort, but that’s also walkable). In the mornings, we loved how close the unit was to the Brown Bean, which had the best cappuccino I’ve ever had. The host was amazing, and had every cabinet labeled and multiple sheets with additional details and recommendations. The host also left us plenty of snacks, drinks, & coffee which was very sweet. There were plenty of pots and pans, and an extendable table that could fit 8\. While our weekend was pretty rainy, the hot tub on the covered porch and projector inside was great while waiting for the rain to stop. Our host even sent us a message, warning us of severe weather and letting us know of a local storm shelter down the street. Laura went above and beyond making my mom’s 50th birthday weekend amazing. She left us cupcakes, snacks and a birthday banner. She even allowed us to check in early and check out late! Our children range from 6-10 and couldn’t have had a better experience! We had an amazing stay. I never did find the boat dock so I am not sure it is on the property. It was an amazing little house. Hot tub was amazing and the furniture was all very comfortable. The place was super clean and well put together. It was very fun to be able to watch tv in the hot tub at the end of the day. They went above and beyond to help make our anniversary vacation great. They really have everything you need in the bedrooms, bathroom, outdoors, and kitchen. The only minor suggestion would be to maybe get a toaster for the kitchen. But that is so minor since they had so much that I wouldn’t expect them to have! We would happily stay here again. 10/10 experience. ##### Michael E.
