The Wheelhouse is a beautifully appointed 2 bedroom apartment with two living areas situated in the centre of town with only Marine Pde separating you from the sand & beautiful waters of the North Arm. Boat ramps, beaches, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes & the pub are all within a few hundred meters. North facing, The Wheelhouse bedrooms open onto a lovely deck with stunning water views. With 2 large family rooms, kitchen, bathroom/ laundry, you’ve found the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The Wheelhouse is right in the centre of town, offering close proximity to almost all attractions in the central area.

The Wheelhouse is tastefully decorated and offers two bedrooms, two separate living areas and two high definition smart TVs. We supply the linen and towels, a fully equipped kitchen and pantry essentials as well. We want our guests to feel like they have the comforts of home so you can just relax and enjoy yourself.

The Wheelhouse offers 2 car parking spaces right out the front of the apartment and room on the grass directly beside the apartment to park a boat.

There are picnic tables, a lakeside beach and a lovely grassy park directly across the road, perfect for a waterfront picnic or paddle.

When home, the owners live on the second storey, however concrete flooring, double bricks and a considerate, friendly demeanour minimises any noise.

The Wheelhouse is fully self contained and our aim is for you to feel that you have all you need.

We are flexible and available for guests as required. Our preference is to always welcome our guests in person on arrival. If we’re not available to meet you in person, a self checkin welcome pack will be provided for your comfort. In any case, we’re always contactable via phone, text & email at any time.

The neighbourhood of Marine Parade, Lakes Entrance is waterside, tranquil, and close to many attractions and amenities. You can paddle board, kayak or launch your boat from across the road or at one of the other boat ramps along Marine Parade. You can set up a picnic on the grass or on the lakeside beach literally a stone’s throw from your front door and settle in to experience all that Lakes Entrance has to offer.

There’s a walking / running / cycling path across the road that meanders its way right around the town, up Jemmy’s Point and back along the lake if you’re keen. There are hire boats located all along Marine Parade and there’s waterskiing, fishing, relaxing and lovely views right at your doorstep.

Bullock Island is at the western end of the street and you can set yourself up there for an early morning coffee and watch the dolphins play in the channel or witness the most spectacular sunsets and see the sun melt into the lake as the waters of Bass Strait and the Gippsland Lakes system meander their way through the entrance.

The Wheelhouse is situated in an idyllic location where you’ll be able to leave your car and walk to just about every attraction in town.

Getting around is easy - The Wheelhouse is central, so many places and shops are an easy walk. Car, bike, taxi, bus or boat too - there’s a bus stop out the front, boat ramps cross the road and along Marine Parade, taxi rank nearby and car parking spaces on-site. There’s room on the grass beside the apartment to park a boat, too.

As with many properties on Marine Parade, the front of The Wheelhouse is unfenced so supervision of children is important.

We ask that guests not cook or eat crabs (xiè, 蟹) inside, however we can provide an outdoor cooking facility for use if requested and there is also ample outdoor seating within the vicinity of the apartment.
Guests are to ensure the apartment is left tidy and that the dishes are washed.

Please refrain from wearing shoes and eating in the carpeted area.

Turn off all the Lights when you leave.

Lock the Door when you leave or check out.

Maximum occupancy cannot be exceeded, please do not book this property if you intend to bring additional occupants - if any guest breaks the house rules you will be asked to leave the property immediately.

Great stay in a great spot
We had a fabulous Australia Day "long weekend" in Lakes Entrance staying at The Wheelhouse. The property is in a great spot - across from the inland river where we could drop our kayaks in super conveniently. Everything was easy walking distance away as well. A couple of things set the property apart and they were driven by the professionalism of the hosts (Grant and Heidi). From the moment we made our booking we were clearly communicated to and set up for a great stay. Nothing was too much trouble including the care packages in the fridge and pantry, advice about the area and general support. Highly recommended if you are looking for something in a great location and well supported.

Grant's place is a lovely clean ground floor unit. We had a great stay there with our two kids, aged 2 and 4. There is huge fun playground at the end of the street, and lots of picnic areas with a view on the inlet. It's also a 2-3 minute walk to the centre of town so its super easy to eat out. The unit was really well appointed with everything we needed and there was even a bottle of wine and some snacks waiting for us on arrival.
