The cottage features three comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms - each with walk-in showers - and a fully equipped kitchen & charming dining area to gather around and share special moments. The living area is the heart of the cottage where you can relax, watch TV, enjoy your favorite novel or Scrabble time with the kids. The decor is comfortable and reflects the warmth you'll find within the cottage. We went canoeing and sat on the dock listening to the peace and quiet this lake has to offer. If you are looking for a place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle, this is the place! Aug 23, 2025 #### Perfect Escape This quaint lake house in Lake Wales, FL was the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The accommodations were perfect, very comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The scenery of the large lake from the sitting room was perfect and we enjoyed seeing the water birds and occasional gator. Any supplies or restaurants were a minimum of 10 miles away; so we suggest making a stock-up trip early in the stay. For fisherman, there are a few solid bait/tackle shops on the main highway. For nature lovers, there is plenty to see, appreciate, photograph. Our fishing efforts were not rewarded on the lake, and we had better success fishing Lake Wales itself and Clinch Lake. It was great to be able to use the canoe (rods, tackle and life vests are available for guests' use.) We would return in a heartbeat; only feature we were not keen on the sulfur smell of the water (well water). But really not that big a deal. We woke up early each day naturally and were ready for the day's activities. We enjoyed heading to Frost Proof and dining at the Frostbite Cafe. Overall a true gem of a house and lakefront property.
