The living/common area of the house is small for the amount of people the house sleeps. Just a small “L” couch and TV. Additional seating could be helpful. The house was clean, modern and had the perfect bedroom set-up for 2 sets of adults & kids. I also loved the mud room which was great for taking off skis, jackets, boots, etc. We did run into some issues with the kitchen sink leaking and was not able to use the water or dishwasher for a good portion of our stay (1.5 out of 3 days) which was frustrating. We also ran out of hot water in the upstairs shower. One person had used the tub downstairs and it took a couple hours for the water to get hot again. We loved the huge windows in the front to look at the trees and the mud room to store our beach shoes/towels. Bring your own beach chairs and enjoy the location because the traffic was pretty miserable with the construction around Lake Tahoe to go anywhere. The couch was small and not cozy for relaxing.The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of gadgets and appliances, though the dinner plates were old and worn. Towels and linens were stained and had some rips, which was disappointing. Given the beach town location, it would have been nice to have beach chairs, umbrellas, or beach towels available. They did provide sand toys, which my 5-year-old enjoyed.The neighborhood felt very safe and was a nice area. However, the property lacked covered parking. This became an issue since pine cones fell onto our new car. There were four fans, but two were broken and unusable. The home had a board game, but pieces were missing, so it wasn’t enough to keep kids occupied.Overall, while the property had some positives, the lack of upkeep and attention to detail made the stay less comfortable than expected. ##### Nadeen H. No bedroom furniture and poor bedroom lighting. They need to get a comfortable couch and some chairs to sit in! The rates charged do not warrant furniture from IKEA. ##### David F. Aug 15, 2023 Liked: Check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great location but not the best accommodations Pros: • Great location – close to lake and small beach • Great upstairs bathroom with exceptional shower • Nice kitchen • Good washer and dryer • Entry hall – very useful and convenient • TV has many channels Cons: • Spiders under cushions and in both bedrooms • Guests in both bedrooms suffered spider bites, one severely. • Furniture & Furnishings o Couch in living room is painfully uncomfortable o No luggage racks or dressers – have to put suitcases on the floor o No chairs in bedrooms – have to sit on bed o No Beach chairs – not essential but would be nice considering there’s a beach within walking distance. • Home in need of repair o Screen door slider in downstairs bedroom doesn’t open o Screens on sliders are ripped – downstairs bedroom and slider next to kitchen table. • Dogs across the street bark for hours on end. ##### Richard F. Sep 9, 2022 #### Great experience Over all it was a great experience. We enjoyed very much the house and its surroundings. It was perfect for the kids. About the location it could not be better. About the service of Tahoe Getaways I only have positive words. Altough I never spoke to anyone the proces went smoothly. I apreciatte it. I would definetely stay again at the same house and trust and recommend Tahoe Getaways. Only a couple of observations about the house: 1\. The mattress of the main bedroom was unconfortable 2\. The main bathroom should have a different flooring or better heating. It has a lot of space but poorly distributed. I hope we will use again your services. I always try to stay in this neighborhood to be close to my families cabin. This was the perfect rental. The large windows brought in so much natural light. There is a nice separation of the bunk room down stairs and the upstairs master. The loft area made for a great little work station as well. We walked down to the beach right across the street (so much less crowded than Kings Beach). Everything was very clean. We'd definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay! ##### nichole l.
