This is a basic hotel room that works for it's purpose. It's not beautiful, but it's functional. The staff was pleasant and helpful, it had parking, and everything was clean and worked in the room. This inn offers rooms that meet a budget. I doubt the compact room has been updated since the 90s. This is a room for people who prioritize enjoying the town and area and not a fancy hotel. It's not a hotel room to "wow" a date with. It's got a great location for dining and walking around the lake town after skiing.

Great stay, while visiting to hit the slopes. Bruce was awesome - super professional and friendly. The hotel is comfortable and clean - was a nice experience and will definitely go back. Thank you.

Room was small but clean. Unfortunately, no microwave and no refrigerator in the room (microwave is available in the lobby). Overall, nice hotel, however price is high (well, considering Tahoe area is not that high)

Hot tub was broken, TV couldn't change the channels and the light in the room wouldn't turn off! Otherwise it was clean and comfortable and quiet. Walking distance to dinner and shops. Sad the grocery store was out of business, that was inconvenient for sure.

Great location and ok place.
Great location right across the street from North Tahoe with many restaurants (check out Fat Cats) and shopping, and 5 miles from squaw valley. Its nothing special. We stayed for 2 nights at the king bed room. Ok bed, no microwave or refrigerator though.

Showers were warm, and the rooms were clean. But the overall condition is pretty shabby (carpet, outlets, lights). The room has a weird smell that I think is their cleaning agent.

Breakfast was prepackage kirkland granola bar, unripe bananas, and bad coffee. Orange juice was good. Thisbplace worked great for convenience to Palisade. Only about 10-15 minute drive.

I love it every time
It's an old motel. I've been staying here for years. But the rooms at the back have a deck which overlooks the pretty golf course, it's always very clean, and the price is amazing low for Lake Tahoe. I didn't use it, but I assume the outdoor hot tub is still working. The motel is right across the street from the beach. No microwave, but a coffee maker, and there is a coffee/tea bar at the front desk.

Noisy. Very thin walls.
The walls are very thin. You could hear the neighboring rooms conversations through the walls. I would recommend not staying here unless you sleep like a rock in no noise bothers you.

Good enough
This hotel is very dated but clean and comfortable. My room was facing the golf course so it was also very quiet. The decor is way dated but in decent condition. Given the state of water in California and at Tahoe in particular, I’m still shocked they don’t have low-flow toilets. They say they are eco-friendly but not so much.
