Each of the 4 cabins on the property are approximately 25 feet from the next with trees separating them. Guests can enjoy our private beach and dock and use any of our seven boats to partake in fishing or just enjoy the beautiful lake. Moose cabin has two Queen Bedrooms, a Queen sleeper sofa futon in the living room. A small crib is located in one of the bedrooms. This cabin can accommodate 4 adults and 2 children maximum. The sleepers sofa can accommodate less than 120 pounds for sleeping purposes. Please do not book this cabin if your group exceeds our capacity. Moose also has two full bathrooms, one of which has a Jacuzzi tub. Moose has a fully stocked kitchen including spices, dishes, utensils, pots, pans, crock pot, teapot, blender, microwave, gas stove, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, dishwasher, drip and Keurig coffee machines. Fresh towels and linens are provided. This cabin is a 2-minute walk to the public beach and a 1-minute drive to the public boat launch. This cabin is a 4-minute drive to downtown Saranac Lake Mt. Pisgah is a 2-minute drive where one can ski, snowboard and tube. Whiteface is a 45-minute drive. Titus mountain is a 45 minute drive. During boating season, guests can enjoy our private beach and dock and use any of our 9 boats: 2 row boats, 3 canoes, 3 full size kayaks and a child size kayak. Lake Colby is known for it's excellent fishing of : rainbow and brown trout, salmon, largemouth and smallmouth bass. Maximum 10 hp motors can be used on this lake. Boating is available on our property between May1st and October 31st unless water temperatures are unsafe. Lake Colby is part of the greater Saranac Lake Community, which offers many tourist attractions, including hiking, snow skiing, zip lines, golf, and amazing food. Saranac Lake is surrounded by some of the most scenic hiking trails on the East Coast. Let us know if you wish to book one, two, three, or four cabins. We book all 4 cabins together from the third week of June through the last week of August with check-in and check-out on Saturdays. Internet speed is 400 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload. We welcome dogs less than 80 lbs. We have a pet fee of $100\. Pets must be cleaned up after returning from outside and crated if left alone in the cabin. Kindly share the breed with us when booking. Cameras are used outside the property for security purposes. I rented the Moose Cabin and loved it! I heard about this place from good friends who had stayed here a couple of years ago. We got in Thursday night for a 4 night stay, with skiing, Carnival fun in Saranac with the Parade, live music, the ice castle, and fireworks. We had camp fires lake side at night and wrapped the weekend with a Superbowl party! All in all a great winter trip. Would love to come back in the Summer too. The site was great and so close to our friends staying at this group on cabins which was very convenient to walk back and forth next door. The cabin was warm, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We were able to ride our snowmobiles across Lake Colby to the trail. We loved being able to just step outside and enjoy the lake, whether fishing, boating, reading a book in the hammock, or a chilly night time fire. All of the necessities are within a 7-minute drive (groceries, pharmacy supplies, restaurants, gas, etc.), and in just a short 20-minute drive, you can be in Lake Placid. The owners were responsive to our questions and proved clear instructions for check-in and out, as well as clear instructions for how to use everything in the cabin and to access local resources. Cabin was well equipped. The view is awesome. You do get a little road noise when sitting outside, but the short distance to the road is nice if you want to do things in the area. Floors do slant, which made it a bit more difficult for my 74 and 83 year old parents. Cabin was a little dusty/cobwebby in the corners, but main areas were very clean and appealing. We loved all the toy and decorative moose in the cabin. (Note: If taxidermy bothers you, this isn't the place for you.) ##### Jackie N. There are hundreds of hiking trails within a short driving distance, Lake Placid is super close, and not to mention the cabin itself! It's very spacious and has everything you need.
