Imagine fishing off the boat dock while watching the orange sunsets from while enjoying a just renovated cottage. Features a fully private outdoor shower, shuffle board table and views for days! We are situated on the premier sandy bottom Lake June in Winter, a large 3,500-acre spring-fed recreation lake. The expansive porch allows relaxing and watching the view. We have installed a mosquito misting system to keep away the pesky mosquitos, midges and other lake bugs so you can come and enjoy your stay and spend more time outdoors. There are two restaurants within a minute from the house - Jackson's on the Lake and Dock 633\. There are several wineries and breweries in the area as well as a quaint downtown area that holds a weekly Saturday Morning Farmer's market. Lake Placid's downtown is growing with very cute local restaurants and shops as well as a 30 min ride to Sebring. We are 2 hours from Orlando if you want to head to the theme parks. Things to Know: Two kayaks and a docking buoy available for a jetski. There are four dock chairs, three loungers and beach towels for guest use. There is an assortment of vests in the guest closet for use. Boat Lifts are not available for use, but a boat can be tied up against the side of the dock. Parking notes: Driveway will fit 6 medium size cars or 4 larger vehicles This is a lake home, and at times we have lake midges. They are harmless but can be pesky. There are 3 outdoor security cameras. One faces the road to cover the driveway, one faces the dock and covers the sea wall area, and a ring doorbell. There are not any security cameras inside or that face inside the home for our renter's privacy. No smokers. One small pet is allowed and must be disclosed in the booking. We charge $100 extra pet fee to allow for extra cleaning, sanitation and home preparation for a pet. Absolutely no parties. There is a maximum capacity of 6 people unless otherwise communicated with the host. If the host approves, additional persons may visit over the 6 person capacity. This is at the host's discretion. Important: Guests should be aware that the property is on an open body of water with no fencing at the water’s edge. For liability and safety reasons, children under 3 years old are not permitted. Lake June Pontoon has boats and jetski's for rental. Kelly’s home was wonderful and she had thought of everything….from spare toothbrushes and razors to dog bowls and dog shampoo. Listening to the water was so soothing and the security around the house was great too.The Lake Placid area was so nice and the pace in the downtown area was perfect. Our family has vacationed at various houses for many years around Lake June and this is our favorite by far! The home is very cozy, bright, and comfortable with all the amenities to make it a home away from home! The owner has thought of all the extras and details. Communication was impressive and check in and check out was a breeze. The layout was perfect for our two young girls, myself and my husband. It was clean, cozy, comfortable and had all the amenities. The screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee, dinners and board games. We spent most of the time on the dock though! The weather was perfect, no bugs (which I was happily surprised about!), and gorgeous sunsets and the full moon was stunning. We caught a couple fish off the dock and enjoyed the rope swing or just jumping in the water. We rented a pontoon boat from Lake June Pontoons which was so much fun and a very easy process. This is our 3rd year traveling from Fort Myers to Lake Placid to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was our first time staying on Lake June, and it did not disappoint! The weather could have been better, but the back patio is large, and plenty of space to hang out and watch the storms roll through. We enjoyed this house and would love to come back sometime. ##### Charity B. We didn’t want to leave. Well equipped, very private, and beautifully renovated. Conveniently located to everything you might need. Kelly went out her way to accommodate us early and the communication was threat from start to finish. The interior of the home is beautifully decorated and generously stocked with incidentals. Our favorite spot was the large screened porch where you can play cards, shuffleboard or just enjoy the view. Out your back door you get a dock and clear water with a sandy bottom that is perfect for playing in the shallow water. Go to the far end of the dock and you have the perfect view for sunsets! There are several great places to have supper Dock 633, GC Steakhouse and Jaxson’s. Our dog Weaver had a wonderful stay also. Fenced yard and plenty of places to explore.
