Views of the lake, a pond, and fenced pasture. A private rural communal property of almost a hundred acres on a half mile of lake shore. Sandy swimming beach. There is the main home that hosts up to eight people that can be rented separately and this cottage with the private queen bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and small living area. The space: Come relax at the lake. It’s very private- can’t see neighbors from the yard. There are several sitting areas and multiple fire pits, trails, and a dock to fish off. A private communal patio and gas grill right outside of the cottage. It’s a short walk to the hand-built stabor (Primitive Cabin) in the woods located on a juncture of hiking trails and with a view of the lake. During the winter our place is located on a snowmobile trail. Which can be accessed from our yard. The lake is a great place to cross-country ski or snowshoe in the winter so bring them if you have them. Pets are allowed with a pet fee and must be leashed. Guest access: Use of the dock and all the sitting areas by the lake. The stabor is a short walk in the woods. There are also other hiking/walking trails for use. It would be a short loop for fat tire bikes but usable. There are other bike trails in the area also, or take in a two-mile run in the woods. We do have some poison ivy in the woods so stay on the trails. There is another home on this property that can be booked together for larger groups. Beautiful place to hold a small wedding or a family reunion. Cabin is nice inside and faces east so can see the sunrise and in the back of the property is a nice open green space to walk the dogs and can see the sunset. Some, not a lot, of traffic noise from the near by gravel road. Otherwise, a blissfully quiet and secluded site. Prior review mentioned a mouse concern....but we saw none, nor any evidence of their pressence other than a couple set traps which went undisturbed. Super clean, thought the bedroom curtains could use a going over. We lucked out and had the property all to ourselves. Great sunrise over the lake. The majestic, well cared for oaks are stunning. Perfect lake view sitting and good access to the dock, though I couldn't manage the way due to old, worn out knees. We really wanted to enjoy the firepits, but plans didn't accommodate...but what a great set up. We didn't need our camp chairs, but they were put to use in the cottage. The super comfortable memory foam mattress, sold us on getting one. SOTA was quick to send someone to address a ground wasp nest at the cottage patio. My only criticism with regard to cleanliness is that the bedroom curtains were very dusty/dirty. Not a big deal unless you have allergies to dust. (Yup, that would be me.) Seeing the many swans in the pond up the road was a special treat for us. No designated place to hang clothes, so prepare accordingly. We just hung them on the shower frame.I think it would be wise, however, to plug the frig into a dedicated receptacle rather than an extension cord.Great place. ##### Pat H. The cottage was clean and bed was very comfy. The view of the lake was very pretty, in fact, Friday night we watched the full moon rise above the lake - beautiful!
