lovely hotel just outside Intra. Good pool accessible through a subway. Hotel staff super helpful when we had a problem with phones. Thank you for a superb few days.

Happy days
Great hotel for a few relaxing days. It's a short 15 minute walk to the city, which is nice. The pool is not too deep for adult swimmers, but has jacuzzi and waterfalls etc. Mostly for kids. But there is a small private beach for "real" swimming in the lake. The hotel is very child friendly and so is the pool with great safety measures. Very friendly staff. Would recommend to friends and will go back next year. Thanks for a great stay.

Hotel has fabulous lake view
Hotel has a lovely swimming pool accessed through a tunnel overlooking the lake. Breakfast is very good and the staff are so nice and friendly.

Great hotel, great location, great staff! *****
Stayed here as part of our motorcycle tour around Europe. The location is amazing, has its own small private beach on the lake. So friendly and helpful, literally couldn't do enough to help. Even recommended where to go for the next night at a festival in another town. Superb!

Excellent place to stay in a good location
The Hotel Residence Lust is a well appointed combination hotel and apartment complex next to Lake Maggiore. We stayed in a large - bedroom, bathroom, lounge/kitchen, balcony - apartment for a week in September. The apartment and kitchen were clean, well equipped and comfortable, the view of the lake from the balcony was a great way to enjoy our breakfast. Reception and staff were exceptionally helpful, providing local information and advice. Our only moan, and that is a very personal one, was that the pillows were a bit hard! The hotel has a good pool, heated until early September but still warm when we visited, and lakeside facilities, plus excellent car parking. It is possible to walk into Intra without having to bother with the main road - 20-30 mins to the ferry terminal depending how fast you walk. There is a bus stop immediately outside the hotel - convenient for travelling to the towns further north though not frequent. Tourist tickets cost €2.50 for a day's travel. Good choice for a relaxing break.

Lovely view
Good: lovely view, nice pool area plus sun beds on beach where easy to swim in lake. Not so good: a lot of cobwebs and floor needed much better sweep. Wifi in room took a lot of effort and was very slow. Not in easy walking distance of any restaurants.

Last Minute Holiday
This was a good hotel and facilities with parking and a pool for children. It is outside the town and on the limit for walking especially at night. Bus service is less than reliable and rarely on time. I would have expected tea and coffee facilities in the room. However the breakfast buffet was good and the staff were helpful.

Perfect spot, nice view pool is relaxing after a day of driving the lake view was amazing. The only thing is the road between the hotel and the pool/lake.But they had a tunnel going under it and also there was no noise! The little restaurant they told us to wlk to was may be 10-15 minutes away in the charming village and we were among locals. Great food could not beat the price nor the quality.

Good but not Great
Lake front room gets lots of street noise, unless the patio door is closed tight. There are no restaurants within walking distance of the hotel but with excellent parking you don't mind using your car. Breakfast, which was included, was indifferent, but it's hard not to enjoy just being on Lake Maggiore.

They promised wifi, but unfortunately the reception in the room was so bad that we couldn't use it. in the lobby it was fine. they had desktop for guests but using it cost 2 euro for 15 minutes (!!!). parking is dark adn the entrace to it is very narrow. need car to get to the city and it's pretty far...

Good location but bad service
The internet is awful. That should be with money and faster than it is. It is not working sometimes and when you ask to the reception they say everything is ok for us. But you can't connect. The location is the best. For swimming in the lake the water is clean but the beach should be performed better. The air condition is not working good. It is like internet. They have internet and air condition but not working properly. It si near the lake it is good and easy to reach to the center.

Lakeside beauty
Beautiful setting beside Lake Maggiore - double glazed room with air conditioning - excellent size - balcony overlooking the lake. We found it humorous that everyone had to wear a bathing cap in the pool and the pool was only open from 11am to 5pm (very restrictive compared to NZ) however we had the private beach to ourselves - sunbathing, swimming - fantastic. Tunnel under main road to access pool area - works very well, Despite road being close, was very quiet. Lovely stay.

enjoyed our stay
The hotel was very clean and a good price compared to other hotels with a swimming pool. The breakfast had many choices but pretty much the same each day. We stayed for six nights. We rented a car in Milan MXP and it is about an hour drive from there. The road in front of the hotel is rather busy with traffic during the day but we had no problem sleeping. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

A great place to stay for the price with friendly and helpful staff. The self catering apartments at this hotel residence are large and spacious and offer a superb base to see the surrounding area. Whilst the hotel is located slightly out of town, it is within walking distance (10 - 15 minutes) and the views from the balcony will be far superior to some of the more expensive hotels in the town centre. The room was immaculately clean on arrival and was kitted out with all the essentials for a self catering apartment. The hotel in general was very well presented and looked after and the large car park was ideal for those driving to the area. The reception staff were extremely helpful and informative and spoke excellent English (amongst other languages) for those whose Italian is not quite up to scratch yet! Good restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, supermarket etc are all within the nearby town. Some previous reviews have commented on the noise from the road being bad in the rooms. However we found at night with the window / balcony doors shut this is not a problem at all. In conclusion this hotel is a great base for those looking to explore the lake and the surrounding area on a tighter budget. For the price this hotel with a good swimming pool and garden area to relax in, free parking, stunning lake views from the balcony, friendly and efficient staff there is not much more you could ask for. I would definately stay again.

Lovely Airconditioned Hotel
We arrived at the hotel late afternoon after travelling over the Semplon Pass by motorcycle. The weather was hot (35 degrees) and after being greeted at reception by a very friendly English speaking receptionist we were shown our room. The room was wonderful with a view over looking the Lake and a small private balcony. The bath room was well appointed and the bed large and comfortable. The breakfast was self service with plenty of choice. Overall the hotel was first class and couldn't be faulted.

A comfortable, modern tourist-oriented hotel. Great lake views from the front facing rooms and the double-glazing largely protects against traffic noise from the lakeside road. Out of town, so you need a car to get anywhere (though there is an old-fashioned pizzeria/restaurant up the hill behind the hotel which cooked us a great steak). Breakfast is a low point, with hot drinks coming out of a machine that produced perhaps the most disgusting so-called coffee I have ever tasted.

Top place to stay
A modern and extremely clean hotel with excellent facilities. Staff very friendly and helpful, with many languages spoken. Excellent swimming pool and childrens' play area and toy room. Ample free parking, access to the Lake, tunnel to avoid road crossing. Good views of the Lake. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Intra but the walk along a very quiet road parralel to the main road is pleasant. we enjoyed an excellent stay here and our 2 and a half year old son did not want to leave(Nor did we!)

good location on egde of verbania not safely walkable on busy road
We had a lovely time verbania we stayed in appartment which had view of lake and pool suitated just accross the road hotel has assess to the lake which was lovely in the warm august weather and although it is close to road the road noise was a noticable from the lake side hotel is edge of town Intra part of verbania but due tolack of path or verge it was not safely walkable which was a pity so you kinda need a car to go everywhere which would but me off going back

Es war sehr schön und genossen den Aufenthalt. Wir waren jeden Tag am Strand. Wir fuhren jeden Abend mit unseren Fahrräder in wenigen Minuten in die Ortschaft.

Wir sind schon das 8. mal in diesem Hotel. Bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten gefällt es uns sehr gut. Die Klimaanlage ist zu laut und im Bad ist in der Dusche Schimmel.

Familieferie til det skønne område omkring byen Verbania ved Lago Maggiore. Rent hotel, dejligt personale. Man kan dog ikke begive sig til Verbania uden bil (grundet farlig vej for gående), med mindre man tager en bagvej som er lidt spooky om aftenen.

Urlaubshotel mit Strand und Pool
Das Hotel liegt an einer gut befahrenen Straße. Ein Zimmer mit Bergblick hat den Vorteil, dass man von der Strasse nichts hört. Das klimatisierte Appartment ist grosszügig. Die Ausstattung der Küche im Zimmer ist gut. Zimmer, Hotel, Poolanlage und Strand sind sehr sauber. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption und an der Poolbar sind freundlich und überaus hilfsbereit. Das selbe gilt für den Hotelmanager. Wir können dieses Hotel ohne Abstriche weiter empfehlen

La stanza era grande e molto pulita, come del resto tutto l'hotel. La vista dal balcone sul lago era mozzafiato. La colazione abbondante e il personale (sopratutto quello della reception) super cortese ed informato. Ci hanno consigliato dove andare a cena ed è stata una ottima scelta. Ampio parcheggio interno.

super schoon, zeer vriendelijk personeel, enige nadeel onze kamer met zeezicht lag (daardoor) ook aan een drukke doorgaande weg, wat nogal wat lawaai gaf.
