LAKE LURE WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR RECREATIONAL BOATING, FISHING, OR SWIMMING IN THE 2025 SEASON. Although the lake is closed and lowered while Hurricane Helene cleanup continues, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. LAKE ADGER, SHUMONT LAKE, LAKE LANIER, and MIRROR LAKE suffered no damage, so homes and those lakes are available. BALD MOUNTAIN LAKE in the resort is open and beautiful. We are welcoming guests in over 60 beautiful homes to use as a "home base" for visiting nearby towns, restaurants, shops, hiking areas, and seasonal special events in Lake Lure, Hendersonville, Asheville, Black Mountain, Saluda, and Tryon. Golf is open to the public at Rumbling Bald, and local area wineries, breweries, trails, and music are within an hour's drive. Many of the Chimney Rock shops are set up at the Tryon International Equestrian Center Pavilion. Chimney Rock Park is now open! Upon entering the home, you'll find a welcoming foyer with a half bath nearby. The spacious great room features a gorgeous mountain view, vaulted ceiling, gas log fireplace, and a deck walkout as the main attraction. The great room is a socializing haven! Stocked with frequently requested items, you will love the open kitchen with upscale appliances. On this main level lies a master bedroom with a deck walkout. This home is sure to please, from family holidays to travel opportunities with friends. Need to get some work done? There's a desk in the loft, and the Internet works great! Two queen bedrooms share an upscale bathroom off the loft. Both rooms have mounted flat-screen TVs, and the room nearest the top of the stairs has a lovely lake and splendid mountain views. Here, you'll find a full bathroom, a laundry room, and a second kitchen complete with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and sink. This level has a bunk room to accommodate your sleeping needs: one full, one twin, and two queen beds. There is also a semi-private queen bedroom (open at ceiling level). Ready for some competition? Try out the six-person air hockey table, pool table, ping pong table, skeet ball, and pinball machine before relaxing on the wrap-around deck. The beautiful fireplace and a flat-screen TV seal the deal to make this your one-stop shop for destination "fun!". AREA WIDE NOTICE: Lake Lure will undergo a drawdown from January 1st, 2025, through the first quarter of 2025 (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet have been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. For more information, click here. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. This property is what it advertises. A mountain view lodge, with clear view across quiet mountains (almost no house lights seen at night). The lodge is a short drive off main Lake Lure road, up an easy (gated) well maintained road (no scary drop-offs). We took our mother, grandmother, three aunts for a treat vacation. The main level master bedroom is large and very spacious bathroom, saved our grandmother from climbing stairs. Upstairs roomy two bedrooms with jack-and-jill bath also worked out very well. We used both lower level small queen room and bunk room as well. No one felt cramped and had space to find their own quiet spots. Kitchen was adequately stocked and we cooked several times. Recliner sofa seats in main lounge area allowed us to relax in evening and watch movies on large TV. Large jacuzzi with many jets was much appreciated. Wrap-around deck on main and large lower level allow ample outside space. Would definitely visit again. No complaints, my only suggestions are couple of hooks in lower level bathroom to hang robes on and some more lighting for that downstairs games room. Second fridge in lower kitchen so useful for drinks and snacks. Locally, large Ingles supermarkets about 3 miles away is so handy. Closeness to Chimney Rock and L. Lure beach is great. We made easy trip to Hendersonville twice as well, close enough for shopping trip with lunch or dinner. ##### martin b. The kids loved the basement and played for hours. We had trouble with the hot tub heating and the property manager came within a couple hours of us calling and fixed it. Great place!!! ##### Shawn F. My family had a wonderful time staying at this new home in Lake Lure. Everything was great other than a couple very small things... The man-made stream did not work (landscapers tried to fix it but it stopped as soon as they left)as well as the Pinball machine is broken (small piece has become dislodged and blocking ball return)and I love Pinball.
