Enjoy our spacious 2,500 SQ Ft family vacation retreat! 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathrooms, outdoor hot tub, deluxe kitchen-fully equipped and supplied.

This mountain view home is in the exclusive Rumbling Bald Resort of Lake Lure. This gorgeous western facing mountain view home is close to all resort amenities.

Great stay!

We had a great stay with four adults and two children. The amenities were fantastic, and the cleanliness of the location was great. The owners were also very communicative with us before our check-in and we had no issue getting into the cabin. The only recommendation I would have would be to have darker curtains in the bedrooms. My kids got up when the sun got up so it made for very early mornings. Otherwise we had a fantastic stay and will be back.

Quiet convient large cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Spacious, quiet, and relaxing. Just needed a few maintenance items. Hot tub is nice. Kitchen has everything. Dining area is large. BBQ is newer. Downstairs is large.

Comfortable stay and great location

All aspects excellent minor negative is hot tub chemicals overbearing and outside/deck need pressure wash and landscape clean up. Perfect for a family and proximity to amenities. Comfortable beds. Charcoal grill so plan for that. Owners are responsive. Recommend this property!

Cousin Camp 2024

We hosted our annual cousin camp (ages 18 months to 9 years) at Cedarhouse this year. The baby items were most helpful and appreciated. The house was clean and so much space. We never used the hot tub but there was one on site. Location to the resort amenities was awesome. Loaded the kids in the back of the pickup and easy trip to the pool or lake. Host was easy to work with. Would recommend Cedarhouse!

Spring break

This was our 3d time in Rumbling Bald resort but first time on this property. We really enjoyed our 4-day family vacation in this beautifully decorated house. We could tell that the owners put a lot of thought and work to make sure the guests are comfortable. Beautiful location and quite a few things to do in the resort and in the area. Hot tub was a nice bonus. Thank you so much!

Great little getaway cabin

House was clean, bed was roomy and comfy. The large bay windows throughout the house gave us great views. We had a great time until some contractora came buy at night to drop off some supplies. Not a big deal but we were in the hot tub when they came. However the next.morning were were awoken to the pest control guy who came in to spray the whole house. That left us frustrated so we left early. Loved the house, not so.much the the interruptions! That was frustrating.

Celebrated 46th birthday and 18 years married

The house is very spacious and clean. Very easy to access. The host and house are awesome.The hottub had an extreme amount of chlorine in it....this would be my only complaint. The chlorine was so strong it would take your breath and burn your eyes...I came home with tiny sores on my lower body, due to my skin being so dried out from the chlorine.

Family Getaway

The Cedar House was great for our getaway from Greenville with my daughter’s family visiting from overseas. More than plenty of room..my grandson loved the foosball table and we had a movie night. Close to the resort and not too far to drive to Chimney Rock and area restaurants. We would stay again!

Relaxing House on the Hill

We chose this house because it was a midway point for us to vacation with family members in other States. We were surprised to learn about the resort amenities, such as the pool, tennis courts, beach, and miniature golf. We also explored the Biltmore estate and climbed Chimney Rock. It is a great location. The hot tub was not functioning correctly, and when I contacted the property manager, they responded quickly. They were able to get a temporary fix sort of working the same day. Overall great location and property.

Cedar House vacation

We had a lovely stay at the home and found the location was perfect. We had plenty of room for our family of 8. We loved grilling out and found the kitchen pots, etc. were ample for our dining needs. Also, having two refrigerators was great for storage. We were disappointed in the dining options within the resort on a Monday evening but made do and enjoyed Bingo at Legends. We rented a pontoon boat one afternoon and highly recommend it! Our favorite highlight was finding a nest of baby bunnies in the backyard—so cute!

Great location

We had a wonderful time with our weeks stay. The house was very clean and is in a wonderful location in the Rumbling Bald resort. We did have a small issue with the AC upstairs but the owners responded quickly and the property manager was very quick to respond as well, and she was extremely helpful with fixing the issue. Overall, we would highly recommend this property. We hope to return in the future to stay again.
