We did use the restaurant on property, Legends, and would have rated the service as poor to average during our recent stay. We attempted to call in a carry out order and no one picked up the phone. Then we drove to the restaurant to place the order to learn management likely didn’t staff effectively to handle 2 events and regular restaurant crowd. Dated, but very clean, bed and bedding were very good. The smell - wet dog? Mold? Soggy crawl space? - was too much for us. For that reason, not a first choice for us in this area for future visits. Also, the office was closed on the day when we needed to adjust our dates (on a Wednesday - office was noted to be open 5 days a week) so we were left with no options when we tried to makes changes within our cancellation/change period. There is a deck that overlooks the golf course to enjoy over morning coffee. The amenities were lovely - putt-putt golf, swimming, and playgrounds for the kids. We loved it! I wasn’t expecting much but I wish it was a little bit nicer. The price is the best part about it. The worst part of the trip was when the power went out the first night we were there. It’s August. I wasn’t expecting any reason for the power to go out. So we were left in the dark with no A/C. Another problem was that hardly anything was ever open. Had to search for food or drinks. The amenities are nice but you have to travel to the actual resort to get to them because this place isn’t actually on the resort. We were only staying two nights so we survived.
