If you aren't looking for a really special destination and you just need to stop somewhere between destinations, than this location is great. If you're looking for a little spa weekend, I would recommend spending an extra fifty bucks and stay elsewhere. However if you like a 70's time warp, this is the place for you. It's also very clean ...so that's a plus!;)

A hidden gem. We loved this hotel. Arrived late in the evening so didn't see the views until morning. Wow! Breathtaking. Had both dinner and breakfast on the property and everything was delicious. My wife and I sat outside and were able to enjoy the view of the lake. Our room had an amazing view in the morning. Hope we get to enjoy this place again. Can't recommend it enough.

Really enjoyed my stay here. I was at a conference at the hotel itself so spent most of my time there. I didn't get out of the hotel often, so can't speak much of the surrounding area. But, there is a convience store just across the road, and the facilities at the hotel are great. Plus, the view out the back of the hotel is simply breathtaking.

Nice quiet location by the lake. Stunning unblocked lake view from terrace. Private dock, river side, plenty of seating to enjoy the nature with meal or drinks.

Great family run lakeside hotel in a pretty area
Great lakeside hotel in the lovely town of Hergiswil. Room was well furnished and had all one could need, apart from a hospitality tray with tea and coffee. This would have capped things off. Dinner was delicious and the breakfast buffet plentiful. Wi-Fi was good but not excellent. Friendly staff. A great all-rounder!

Lake side stay
Amazing view and a lovely clean room. The swimming pool was a delight. We loved swimming in the lake straight from the hotel. The breakfast was just what you would want after a good night sleep. The only negative I would say is the pillows were a bit flat with no support. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent choice for relaxation
The check-in was great and staff were friendly. Our room had a great view and we enjoyed the balcony. The area were very peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was good and the coffee excellent. The pool facilities were great, but we could not use the sauna as you have to sit there without a bathing suite. The views were awesome.

What a spectacular location, right on the lake with mountain views. Property was clean and well maintained and staff were friendly and helpful. Was there on business but will plan a return trip on vacation!

Love this hotel, especially the steps into the lake, the breakfasts and watching the dancing by the lake while eating dinner. We stay here every year on our way down to Italy

nice spot away from the crowds.
Newly renovated room with nice views to the lake and mountains. Bed was firm on one side and incredibly soft on the other. One slept well one did not! Bar service could have been more attentive, had to wait for beersies and the weather was beersie weather.

The location of this hotel is wonderful. It is right on the lake and has a very nice outdoor area for dining, drinks,or swimming if it is summer time. It is also located near the train station for trips into Lucern. There is also a boat landing for the Lucern ferry. I would highly recommend this place for summertime, but I think it is overpriced if you aren’t able to use the outdoor facilities.

On the lake.
Beautiful view of the lake, both rooms reserved had balconies. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch. Unlike many hotels in Switzerland, this hotel offered air-conditioning. The rooms were fairly big, large walk-in shower. The breakfast was amazing, plenty to choose from hot and cold. Large selection for American, Switzerland and Germany style foods.

Disappointing Hotel with a great view
The hotel rooms had a breathtaking view to the lake but the Hotel was over rated. Very old facility, old carpets, old bathrooms. The pool was filthy, it had spaghetti in it ... since the website listed access to tennis court, we brought our tennis racquets but this service was not available. The meals at the restaurant were very good but the free breakfast wasn’t.
