Thus "The Cabbage" This 2 bedroom 1 bath offers a peaceful retreat from the hurried life. The cabin is located across the street from Gray Lake , with lake views. A small public beach access is down the road. The Cabbage is Near Pere Marquette paved Rails to Trails, Lakeside Bar and Grill , and a historic General Store. There is also a coffee shop open in the summer season. The yard has a rustic firepit. There are 2 kayaks. There are two T.V.s - one in the twin room and one in the living room. There is Wi-FI. Rocko Tv and a DVD player with numerous videos. There are also games and cards for that rainy Day. Of which you'll love the sound of the rain on the metal roof. This Cabin was just renovated and June 1 2022 is its first debut. Bath towels and Bed Linens provided. For cooking there is a Microwave, hot plate, and a toaster oven. (We had very busy days scheduled all weekend away from this cabin.) The 1st night we arrived at 10pm and the place hadn’t been cleaned at all. Host took forever to reach and VRBO wouldn’t do anything in the meantime, but host covered a night in a sketchy hotel 25 minutes away. We got our 7-year olds to bed by 12am. We let our kids sleep a bit the next morning and missed half the day of the event we were in town for. Host confirmed the cabin had been cleaned that morning by about 11am or noon. We arrived back at the cabin that night again around 10pm. The cabin was cleaned, but there was an inch of water and sand backed up in the shower. Assuming maybe their septic is full. Let host know and nothing was done or offered for solution. Couldn’t shower the entire weekend, because none of us wanted to step into an inch of cold sandy water to shower. Reminded her it was backed up when we left and she responded, “Okay”. Perfect for a couple of a solo retreat or a small family! If you do have a small family, know that the fridge is small and I had a bit of trouble determining the right house, but the host was SUPER fast at responding so it wasn't an issue. I’m 3 days got in some fishing in Crooked Lake, biked 15 miles on the Pere Marquette Trail, and went canoeing on the Muskegon River. Kids enjoyed the new activities, and loved the cozy feel of the cabin. Enjoyed hot dogs and smoresover the fire. Would recommend to anyone for a quiet retreat. Thank you. ##### Michael L.
