The home is centrally located and close to 2 popular ski areas (Big Boulder and Jack Frost), near several fantastic golf courses (Split Rock, Mountain Laurel, Jack Frost National), by some challenging hiking and biking trails (Hickory Run State Park), within walking distance to great restaurants and night life (Nick’s Lake House, Louie’s Prime, Piggy’s and Shenanigan’s), and with water activities available right outside your door (boating, fishing, swimming, etc.). This is a year round rental with great attractions for every season. Summer: The lakefront location not only creates a scenic view any time of the day, but direct access to the lake allows for swimming, fishing, boating or just relaxing on the lakefront. And for NASCAR fans, Pocono raceway is only 5 miles away. Winter: Not only is the house located within a couple miles of Jack Frost and Big Boulder ski areas, but the lakefront location allows for fun activities on the frozen lake like ice skating, cross country skiing, ice fishing and snowmobiling. Fall: Fall foliage creates a brilliant show of color in the Pocono mountains. This is a great time of year for hiking and mountain biking. Spring: This is a great time to take in some early season golf. With 2 golf courses located within a couple miles and many more within a 20 minute drive, there are a lot of choices at great rates. Lake front, hot tub, use of canoe/kayaks/pedal boat, & fire pit. Just up the street is Nicks Lake House with indoor and outdoor seating, great food and ambiance. Sundays brunch buffet (19.99 adult) was phenomenal. Also right there was a brunch spot Piggy’s and Shenanigans bar and grill. We also stopped in for a cocktail at Boulder View Tavern down the street that had a great big outdoor bar and live music. We spent a day on a Quad tour just 15 min away at Alvin’s Offroad Playground (go prepared to drive through mud puddles. No food or drink or anything else there, but the trails were great and our tour guide followed our lead with speed and which skill level trails he took us through.) The following day in Jim Thorpe about 25 min away. Such a cool town to explore. They have the Lehigh valley scenic train and also offer a beer/wine trolley tour through the village. Drinks and food and atmosphere were great at Ouro’s. The rental owner Laurie was so easy to work with and extremely accommodating. The house was way more room than we needed, but very comfortable with unbeatable views and calm vibes. The house is cozy and had a lot to do, considering the weather did not cooperate for most of the weekend. Our group enjoyed sitting around the fire pit each night, grilling for Memorial Day, soaking in the hot tub, watching the sunset from the dock, and playing games indoors for hours. The host was so kind to allow us early check in and out since it is off season and nobody else was renting! The house is clean, functional, and so much to offer. The kids enjoyed the paddle boat, we paddle boarded and fished off our dock. Séjour de 2 nuits en septembre 2024 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Brad E. 18 sept. 2024 Points forts : Propreté #### Beautiful Property We enjoyed our long weekend stay at Lake Harmony in celebration of a friends marriage. The home is very comfortable and the lake is perfect. Fishing, kayaking, and paddling on the lake were all fantastic. We had a great time at the very large fire pit in the evenings, and playing pool and shuffleboard in the basement. The owners were very responsive throughout our stay. A few small hiccups with our stay, some of them were of no fault of the owner though. The home was a little on the dirty side when we arrived (food/candy wrappers/pacifiers etc on the floor from a previous guest), and the outdoor spaces were covered in geese droppings. Be prepared that you may have to shovel that up if you plan to utilize the backyard or dock. The hot tub did not appear clean, and a chlorine test showed it had none, so those who were planning to use it didn't feel comfortable doing so. Lastly there was a relatively major issue with the septic system on our last night there, which made our final evening and morning not great as we couldn't cook the farewell breakfast we had planned. Again this was not directly the fault of anyone, but probably could have been avoided with more proper upkeep and maintenance. Overall we had a great weekend though, and I would not hesitate to stay here again if I was looking to go back to Lake Harmony. ##### Brad E. Very responsive, easy to work with and gave us a fantastic place to stay. The house was right on the water and a close walk to restaurants and other things to do. The house was very clean and everything was very nice inside and out. The house had plenty of room for everyone to sleep and just hang out. Has perfect views from the deck and down on the dock.
