We chose 2 because the condo itself was fine. However, the owners had falsely advertised that access to Big Boulder Lake, including swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, pontoon boating, and other activities, was available for a fee of 25/day. This was not the case, and in fact we had NO access to the lake, because unbeknownst to Vacasa and VRBO, the owners had not purchased a membership in the Lake Mountain Club, which is a “no exceptions” requirement for use of the lake. Had we known this, we never would have made a reservation to stay in this condo. Think about it - who in their right mind would pay for a vacation on a lake that they can’t access for any activities? While the location is lovely, the duplicity of the owners ruined the experience for us. ##### Cynthia W.
