We stayed on the 1st floor in one of the jacuzzi suites. The hallway smelled like mildew. As soon as I opened the door to our room it also smelled like mildew

In the heart of Lake George

Posted 10-Jul-2017
I booked @expedia.com for a really great deal, but that wasn't the case, so book your stay @hotels.com or directly @tikiresort.com, you'll save a ton. It was a pleasant stay at the Tiki Resort right in heart of Lake George Village. Check in is at 4pm, but checkout is at 11am, makes no sense. You're right next to Fort William Henry, the Million Dollar Beach, broad-walk, and a short walk to the downtown area means no parking or traffic issues. The staffs are super friendly and helpful, especially Melissa at the front desk. The room is clean and suitable with comfortable beds, and the rooms are all non-smoking, roomy with all the amenities that you would expect such a microwave, fridge, coffee pot, lots of extra sockets for charging electronics, flat screen TV, and A/C. The front desk, lobby & halls smells musty, not sure what's that all about. Breakfast & dinner are available on site at a reasonable price, try the coconut shrimp w/fries for $11 bucks. Definitely a great location, if you stay here. Oh and the Wifi in the room is horrible, but works well by the pool. They offer a $5 rebate for a little less housekeeping a day, #GoingGreen. The parking is free and spacious. Definitely, coming back but staying in the main building.

Worst experience

Posted 6-Jul-2017
I will not recommended any one for this resort . It was horrible experience . None of facility was working (refrigerator , gas furnace ) They have rooms in basement . Even the smell was horrible . You can feel dust everywhere in the room . I had booking for 3 nights and I changed the hotel after first night stay .

Needs extreme makeover!!

Posted 4-Jul-2017
The only good thing is I think our room was renovated probably in the past yr or so. The rest of the grounds are severely outdated! Our room was clean but housekeeping did anything but! The next AM, they didn't clean the sink, replenish bathroom supplies (tissue, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc), or make 1 of the beds because it had a stuffed animal on it. The "balcony" area was covered in cobwebs & spiders. The staff was not friendly at all either! Very disappointed!!

Enjoyed our stay. Great hotel and great staff. Close to all activities. The only issue was the WiFi.

Would stay here again!

Got a great deal on the hotel through expedia.com The hotel itself was located right near the lake and beach! also near all the local tourist shops and restaurants. Everything was in walking distance which I love! The rooms were nice and clean, AC worked great, bathrooms were also clean with clean towels and awesome rosehip lotion and green tea shampoos and conditioner. We stayed in the room with 2 Queen beds and let me tell you they were comfy! Very, very well rested nights. The room had fridge, microwave and ironing facilities. Also it had a delicious looking roomservice menu that we didn't get a chance to try cause we discovered it too late. Also, the TV has cable which is great when you have a kid and it actually was raining one day we were there so we just system in watching TV and there were so many great channels to choose from :) We originally booked it for a 1 night stay but decided to stay another night. I asked the receptionist for the same rate but unfortunately it was only available through expedia.com HOWEVER the lady was so nice and decided to lower my rate and I stlll ended up getting a great deal even for the second night! Lastly, I loved the whole polynesian feel of the hotel and the cool and funky art pieces all around. I would definitely recommend you stay here :))
