We love the kitchen, great cooking equipment and several sinks, however being Italian, some larger pots for pasta and some additional kitchen utensils would have been nice. It took a while to figure out the light switches and several light bulbs were burnt out, as well as the basement heating zone being problematic, but those issues were quickly resolved. This home provides the perfect balance of feeling isolated in the Adirondacks, with only a 5-minute drive to all of the attractions of downtown Lake George, as well as the lake itself. The home, and our stay, was better than we could have expected. The hosts were very responsive and took care of everything that we needed prior to and throughout the stay. We would definitely stay at this property again, as we are sure that it would be just as beautiful in summer as it was in the winter! ##### John L. At first, we had a problem with the heat. The owner was very concerned -- as were we. But after talking to him on the phone, we realized we must have turned the burner switch off, which was at the top of the stairway to the to lower level , thinking it was a light switch. Our group of 8 friends had a great stay. The house is spacious and there is a good size deck and yard in the back. Short drive to Lake George village and other attractions. Our children and us had a great time. Although it was raining a couple of days while we were there, we really enjoyed our time in. Played card games and board games. Plenty of space for everyone.
