We booked double room with park view, in October for travel in July; to ensure availability. When we were given a small room (half the size of double rooms alongside, with a single balcony (one chair and a small table) plus car park view; we complained to the reception; saying it was a "single" room. No real apology, "no it's a double" "Hotel's full we cannot offer another room" . No senior management contacted us, we feel the original hotel design, as they cater for coach parties, had single rooms. Now designated "doubles, the room had been reworked recently with an excellent new bathroom. Although hotel denied this was the case.Just look at the photos.
The room was kept very clean, by a lovely lady(the only member of staff who said good morning with a smile, the breakfast /dining area was tired. Tables were left with dirty plates for far too long and breakfast choice, for the hotel cost, not up to the standard expected.
Expedia offered a small credit, having notified them at the start of our stay,
