Highly upgraded, unit #414 has features like beautiful travertine tile floors and quality furnishings, only matched by the outstanding view of beach, ocean and outer islands. This second floor one bed, one bath vacation home has a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter and an island. Luxuriate in the bedroom's king-size bed with A/C. The remodeled bathroom features granite surfaces, a walk-in shower and shower bench. There’s a ceiling fan and wall-mounted TVs in both the living room and bedroom. There’s also a banana/rocking chair and a sofa bed in the living room, making the vacation home suitable for up to four guests. So sit back and relax on the lanai, watching the ocean waves meeting the shore, enjoying the tropical sunset and possibly even catching a few whale sightings during the winter. Tucked in a popular West Maui resort area, Kuleana provides the perfect combination of recreation and relaxation opportunities for your Maui vacation. yes and no some good and some bad

I did not like the lanai. Big concrete walls on each side. I felt closed in. View was fantastic. we didn't have a vaccum. I borrowed the one from the condo my grandson stayed in. I respect other peoples property..never been there before it was good security was there and some nice lady happened to be just coming in the parking lot. They both helped us.

Amazing spot!

This condo had it all. A great view of the ocean, the bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and kept everything nice, the pool guy was there daily to check on everything. Overall a great experience.

Great location

Very nice view, the apartment has everything you may need, close to good coffee shops, grocery stores, and seafood market. Only thing we found a a ball of hair in a shower, and mess under the bed with an almost dead cockroach.

Nice grounds, beautiful view, clean

This is our 3rd trip to Maui staying at different properties each time. Pro - we had a very late check in. Great communication with property and a night guard that took care of us promptly. Pro - the grounds were well manicured, pool area nice with many chairs. Pro - condo was well stocked with the necessities. Bonus were great beach towels, a couple beach chairs and a boogie board. Pro - the view - directly on the ocean. Keep in mind (and we knew this from pics before we rented) the lanai walls are deep and restrict your side views a bit. Pro - close enough for us to walk to some local restaurants and shops. Con/Pro - day 1 of check in we unfortunately noticed ants in a few places. Contacted management and they had ant traps in place within a couple hours. Also they were doing a full pest spray of all condos the day we left so you know they must keep on top of it. Con - the parking. I'm sure they're trying to fit in as many as possible but the spaces are so narrow it was difficult to get in and out and one day we got a warning ticket for parking on a line. If you have a large vehicle or aren't a parking Pro this might be concerning. Suggestion - add another boogie board and maybe a beach umbrella. We also would've liked an inside deadbolt for added safety. Different for us - this condo wasn't direct from an owner but a property management group so we had to sign a contract outside VRBO - something I've never had to do. No issues - just different.

Back to a favourite resort

We have been coming to the Kuleana Resort yearly for the last eleven years, so we are definitely fans of the location and the property itself, particularly the 400 building. We had always chosen ground floor condos previously, and were pleasantly surprised at how the second story condo improved views of the near shoreline and the turtles as they fed each morning. As to 414 specifically, it is a nicely modernized and comfortable unit. We appreciated the kitchen island very much as we usually cook our own dinners, and the furnishings were adequate and comfortable. The bed is large and comfortable, and the bathroom clean and inviting. We'd happily stay in this unit again in the future.

We Love Maui

We love this location and all things maui. One of the beach chairs should be replaced and the beach towels need replaced. Would be nice to have more TP than 2 rolls for long staying guests. Other than that nothing could beat the sunsets there. Lots of dishes but we only cooked breakfast. The bed is hard for my taste but we have a plush mattress with a pillow top. New ac unit worked great.
