I loved the quiet and woodsy feeling away from the busy touristy streets , yet at walking distance from shops and restaurants. Our room was nicely decorated and comfortable. In particular, the bed sheets were very comfortable and silky feeling. We loved the complimentary long robes and slippers.. the staff was friendly and helpful.

This was a 1 night getaway for us (we're locals), so we wanted a quiet place with good on-site dining. What we got was maintenance noise starting at 7:03 am which sounded like a truck was backing up into our room (for 25 non-stop minutes!) We tried all the food options on-site were served very average food, including in a very noisy Harvest restaurant- which sounded more like a Bar. Also, we noticed at night when we walked around that most of the rooms were empty. If the staff would have had any consideration at all - knowing that they are preparing for an event and that there would be noise around the building we stayed - they should have set us up in another building farther away and maybe with a view better than the opposing buidlings old air conditioning units. If the room itself was not nice we would have given this a 1 star because they really failed in everything else!

Amazing facilities. Not so good food at the restaurant. Breakfast was fine. Salads were inedible. Staff were very helpful. Lovely golf course. Golf staff seemed indifferent.

Great service and room, beautiful property. but No cell service anywhere on the property, this should be disclosed ahead of time not at the hotel lobby when we check in. Wireless was SLOW. wireless calling did not work. Parking was not regulated so unregistered cars used my hotel guest parking spot. Walking path to beach is a small dirt path alongside the road where cars drive. No walking path from room to main hotel lobby/restaurant/reception hall, you have to walk in the street with cars. When we called for the golf cart transport for an evening event from our room to main reception, delay over 15 min so we walked in the street with cars instead, there should be more staff available or scheduling available for big events

I would not recommend The Ranch at Laguna Beach at all. Not only is the staff rude, they were very incompetent when we asked various basic questions such as breakfast times, transportation, gym times, etc. In addition, the internet and cellular connection is incredibly limited so it was impossible to communicate outside. This made coordinating UBER and pick-ups virtually impossible. A very over-priced stay considering how inconvenient it is and how poor the service was.

The location on this property is unique, it is a hidden valley right across a beach in Laguna. Very quiet and relaxing, the room are comfortable, and the staff are very good.

We love staying here to get away from LA for the weekend. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoy walking to the beach and riding the trolley. The food is excellent as well as the staff. Room are super comfortable too. Our kids love the pool and playing bocce ball every time! It would be great if they added s’mores or hot chocolate in the evenings for them. Will return!

Very nice property.
This hotel is very lovely and in a beautiful location. It is also really close to the other things to do in Laguna Beach. The only small complaint is that the beds are squeaky. Roll over in the middle of the night and wake your partner up squeaky. They werent overly uncomfortable, however. It just depends on how sensitive you are to that.

We loved this place, quiet, clean and amazingly fresh air. We just didn't like the mattress. It was extremily soft and uncomfortable. Also it was very disappointing to be charged for a water that we requested trough room service. When I brought it up to the front desk during the check out, she stated that they don't charge for the water and she took off the charge immediately. I hope this will be brought up to the person's attention who charged us for 3(was ordered 2) water that was supposed to be free, changes the impression about the staff and the report.

The room is spacious and updated. A very serene location amongst the crowded highway in Laguna Beach. I realized (after the fact) that I used my Expedia points for the stay and the hotel gave me the worst room on the property - room 101 (even though the hotel was not filled to capacity). It’s where the resort road forks and captures all in/out going traffic, therefore, it captures all the traffic noise. I stayed here during a work trip as a scout mission to potentially take my family for an extended trip one day. Since I don’t subscribe to punishing guests for using third party booking platforms, I’ll find an alternative family get away. The 9 hole golf course is idyllic.

Rooms are assigned based upon guest requests and also are rotated so routine maintenance can be completed in each accommodation throughout the resort. In looking at the notes from your reservation, we did not see that you requested a specific location and in speaking with our Front Desk management team there was no location request mentioned at check-in or a request to move to another location after you arrived to your accommodation. Our team is always available to assist in making sure that the quality of your stay exceeds your expectations.

Property has great privacy and we'd love the cottage style rooms, however the grounds are small and amenities are somewhat limited, especially for the price point. If you are into golfing, it's a beautiful place to stay.

The room was very remote. It was cabin looking. Right by entrance of very large property. We asked to be moved closer in but they said they could not. Not the two story building we saw on internet. Not a property we would book again
